The ceiling collapsed and soon everyone was put in fight or flight mode. Most chose flight and in this case, so did Samantha, she wasn't gonna let this kid die. She wasn't gonna let another person Beth cared for die. "Why is she always right," Daryl whispered.
Samantha turned a corner and saw Glenn on the floor with a walker in front of him. Samantha pushed the walker bring her sword across its neck before it was fully off Glenn. When she turned around the kid was no longer there, she grabbed Glenn's hand as she looked around trying to spot the boy. Glenn grabbed his gun shooting one that had no legs. More and more came from the ceiling. Each alise seemed the same, the endlessness of it seeming more and more unbearable. Each turn was more walkers and more endless shelving.
Samantha went to look for one person, no it wasn't the boy Beth was infatuated with it was Daryl who she searched for. But she stopped halfway there, "The dumbass can protect himself," she whispered. She bent backward as a walker attacked her, she turned around shoving one of her swords in its head. Samantha killed any she came across as she looked for the boy. When she turned the corner she saw Daryl, the boy, and Glenn helping Bob. Once Bob was standing the boy's leg was grabbed by a walker and it quickly took a bite out of his leg.
"Zack!" Glenn yelled but Zack fell as the walker climbed up his body taking a bite out of his neck. Daryl pushed Samantha trying to get her out of her trance. 'Not again,' she thought as she followed Daryl out. They didn't stop running, the shock of an airplane falling from the ceiling not fully affecting them. They all got out, well not all of them.
Samantha stared at Daryl on the bike, "Get on," he said as the herd started to leave the store. "Samantha," he snapped and she got on gripping his jacket as they drove off.
Samantha sat in her cell as Daryl told Beth. Her foot tapped on the ground as she thought. She grabbed her bag grabbing the bottle before sitting back on the bed. She started at the bottle when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. The person sat on her bed but the bed didn't dip. When she looked to her side she saw that smile, the smile she hadn't seen in a very long time. She opened the bottle before grabbing a pill, she threw it in her mouth throwing her head back as she swallowed it. Soon after Lori disappeared.
Samantha stood up going into Daryl's cell. Just like Maggie and Glenn, they had pushed two beds together it made more space. She kicked her shoes off undoing the latches to her sword holders before getting under the blanket and facing towards the wall. Soon the bed dipped and it was quiet for a long moment, "It hasn't gone away," she whispered not moving. He laid down laying on his back as he looked up. She turned around after another minute. "I'm not going to sleep so you should," she used her elbow to prop herself up. "I'm not if you aren't," he whispered looking at her. "I'mma go outside," she whispered and he shook his head. "Why?" She asked. He just shrugged.
She stared at him as something changed in her. He slowly started to bring himself up. Soon his elbow propped him up while his other hand rested on her neck. Their heads slowly got closer and closer, as they started sharing the same air. Her head subconsciously moved closer to his, her eyes closed and so did his as their lips finally met. It was slow and soft, not rushed by the outside world. She pulled her lips from his before kissing him again. Kiss after kiss they were each the same as the first. Slow and soft.
