Samantha was with Matthew and some others from Alexandria. They were at an old construction sight by a small mountain. That over the years been calling more and more walkers. The more to get stuck there the louder they got, in doing do attracting more.

"Look, I know this is insane, but this is an insane world." Rick said from atop one of the semis that stopped the walkers from getting out. His voice barely louder than the walkers growling behind them.

"We have to come for them before they come for us!" He shouted so they could hear him. "This is where it all starts tomorrow!" His voice booming!

Samantha looked over at Daryl who quickly noticed her eyes on him. He locked eyes with her and for a second it was just them in the world.

"Tobin gets in his truck, opens the exit and we are off. He hops out and catches up with his team at red, staying on the west side of the road. Daryl gets on his bike-" Rick stopped when they all heard a rumble. Everyone turned to face the hoard stuck. On the side of the mountain was a semi truck which stopped them all from leaving that way.

Everyone watched as the ground below the semi crumbled. It falling giving a clear path for the walkers to leave. With this many walkers, there would be no escaping it.

"It's OPEN WE GOTTA DO THIS NOW!" Rick yelled to everyone. Samantha went to Daryl. "I'm going with you," she didn't ask. He was quick to say no, "You don't get to have a choice, I'm not letting you do this alone." He saw the look in her eyes and cursed. "Yeah, alright."

"RICK THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DRY RUN!" Tobin yelled angry with how things were now going. A walker started pushing between the two semis and Daryl got ready to shoot them.

"I'm going with Daryl, go with Glenn. Okay?" She asked Matthew and he nodded. "Come back, okay?" He gave her a warm smile. "Of course," she kissed his cheek.

As she walked away he grabbed her wrist pulling her close and kissing her. "Better," he whispered. She stood in slight shock.

It had been a couple months and they had gotten a lot closer. They had shared a couple kisses. Yet none of them had taken place in front of people.

And neither were aware of Daryl witnessing them kiss.

Everyone scattered ready to execute the plan. The walkers were gonna head for home and they couldn't allow that to happen.

Rick continued shouting orders.

"SAM!" She heard her name and quickly went to Daryl getting behind him on his bike. They drove off the walkers following them.

She knew the reason she did this. Why she went with Daryl. She couldn't live with herself if something happened to him. She wanted them to do this together. Because if they were together than neither would die.

They weren't going too fast. Just fast enough that they couldn't catch up but slow enough they remained close proximity so the walkers would continue to follow them.

They soon got out of the gravel roads and had trees on either side of them. "We're at the check-point." Both Samantha and Daryl heard come from the walkie talkie they had. "Here comes the parade," Samantha said to them through the small radio.

Samantha looked behind them, "Holy Christ," she said in horror. The hoard went on for miles upon miles. It had to been the biggest one in existence.

Sasha drove in front of them joining them. Daryl slowly drove to the side so they drove almost side by side. It felt weird going at such a pace. It was slow and calm even though there was a hoard of human-eating cannibals.

After a couple of hours they got to the orange checkpoint. The walkers were so close that they could touch them. Samantha felt like she was in the twilight zone.
