There you sat, on your bed, writing yet another letter to your mom.

Dear mom,

I miss you so much. Tammy's been great. I don't mind the fact she lives alone at all. I like to get to spend time with her but it's no substitution for you. She's a lot different from when I was little. I feel bad her husband had taken her kids in the divorce so it feels like I'm currently a place holding daughter. I really want to come visit you soon but I need to get a plane ticket somehow. It really sucks not having you here. I love you so much.

-Your forever partner in crime, y/n

It had been three weeks since you sent the letter and there was no response. She hadn't called either. You had been staying in your room a lot the past few days, blaming yourself for whatever reason you mother was making no attempt to contact you.

Tammy knocks on your bedroom door and speaks with her soft voice.

"y/n sweetheart, do you want breakfast?"

You don't respond, trying to subside your quiet sobs with your lips trembling.

"No thank you." You reply coldly after a moment.

Tammy opens the door and sees you laying on the bed with tear filled eyes. You then see some mail in her hand.

"y/n I-"

"Is there any mail from mom?" You ask quickly sitting up. Tammy's mouth was agape for a second as you cut her off but she shuffled through the envelopes, full of doubt. Her heart broke a little every time you would ask her with hope in your eyes and there was nothing. She looks back to you and subtly shakes her head with an apologetic frown. You put your face back against your pillow.

"Are you sure you don't want breakfast?" She asks, approaching you at the bed and sitting down to stroke your hair.

"Yeah."

"y/n you haven't really eaten in a while... Come to think of it, you didn't eat anything yesterday. Is everything okay?"

"Yes I'm fine."

"Are you sure baby? You know you can talk to me."

"Yes Tammy I'm fine." You reply sternly, moving her hand away.

"Okay. Just let me know when you're hungry alright? I'm going to the grocery store and running some errands. Do you want anything specific?" You just shake your head and she nods as she grasps the edge of the door. "Alright. See you later kiddo. Love you."

"Bye Tammy. Love you." You say blandly, with no emotion. She shuts the door and leaves for the grocery store. You sigh and drift back to sleep after a while.

1 hour later:
