Tears were streaming down your face as the thunder outside the academy grew louder. You hugged your stuffed animal closer to your chest, feeling yourself slipping into your headspace by the second.

There was a huge strike of thunder that made the whole house shake. You jumped up from your bed and ran into the hallway to the supreme's bedroom. You hesitated before you open the door and cling onto the frame. Cordelia was reading a book with her glasses perched on the tip of her nose and looks up. Her eyebrows immediately draw together at your current state.

"y/n? Is everything okay?" She asks sweetly as she places her bookmark in between the pages and shuts the book.

You shook your head as another tear fell down your face. Another strike of thunder sounds outside and you run to Cordelia's bed, wrapping your arms around her neck. She doesn't hesitate to stroke your hair and back, shushing you.

"Hey sweetheart it's okay. It's okay come sit on the bed." You hop onto the bed as a flash of lightning fills the room. You clutch onto her side, shoving your face into her chest, along with your stuffed animal. "Are you scared of the storm?" She asks.

"Yes." You whispered with a quiet voice. You cover your ears at the sound of the storm and start shaking. Cordelia wraps her arms around you and rocks you a little bit.

"It's okay honey it's only a storm."

"It's woud!" You squeal, pressing your hands harder. Cordelia looks confused at the sound of your voice but soon gets it.

Cordelia had suspected you were a little for a while and considering the circumstances with your parents no longer wanting anything to do with you after discovering your powers, she just wanted to take care of you.

"Hey hey y/n look at me." You stay curled in a ball keeping your hands over your ears and look at her, sniffling. "Ready?" She says with a little smile. You just nod with confusion and she waves her hand up. All of the sounds outside suddenly grew quiet and you slowly take your hands away from your ears.

"All gone?"

"Yes baby all gone. It's okay."

She pulled you into her arms once again as you sniffle and cuddle into her.

"Fank you Dewia."

"Of course honey. Do you want to stay in here tonight?"

"Yes mommy. I mean-"

"It's okay sweetheart. You can call me that."

"Reawwy?"

"Of course baby. I like your stuffed animal." She whispers with a bright smile, pointing to your big frog squishmallow that you were tightly holding onto.

"Fanks mommy!"

"Mhm! Are you tired?"

"A wittle." You reply, rubbing your eyes.

"Okay sweetheart. I'm just going to read for a bit is that alright? You can lay on my lap."

"Otay!" You cheer. Cordelia giggles and moves the covers to make room for you to get under the covers as you lay your head on her lap. She goes back to reading her book and stroking your hair softly.

"Goodnight baby."

"Night mommy. ...I wike cawwing you dat." You giggle.

"I like hearing it." Cordelia laughs back and leans down, placing a kiss on your temple. "It's alright sweetheart just go to sleep."
