The next day, the house was empty and you walked down stairs in your matching floral tank top and shorts pj set. You were making yourself a cup of tea when Cordelia comes into the kitchen. She was already dressed in a pair of loose black trousers and a white blouse, her golden hair slightly curled hanging by her shoulders. She looked perfect. You look to her as you put a bit of honey in the porcelain cup.

"Morning Delia."

"Good morning sweetheart," she says with a smile, gently roughing your hair and kissing the crown of your head to make her self tea, as well as some food. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"I'm just having tea. I'm not that hungry."

"Mm. We'll stop somewhere on the way."

"On the way where?" you ask with a confused expression, fully turning to her, seeing the smile painted across her face.

"We're gonna have a girls day today. I was thinking shopping?"

"Really?" you asked with a hopeful look, making her smile even more.

"Yes, really. So go get ready! We'll leave in a half hour."

"B-but Delia, I-I don't have any money remember?" you whispered shamefully.

"I know sweetheart. Don't worry about that."

"Oh my gosh o-okay! Thank you Delia!" you cheer, already running from the kitchen to the stairs. You heard Cordelia giggle in the distance as you descend up the large stair case.

As you got ready, not once did a smile leave your face.

You came downstairs with the same smile on your face as Cordelia was at the door, holding her purse ready to go.

"There's that smile I love. You all ready?"

"Yup!" you replied, holding your patch tote bag close to your side. You were practically bouncing with excitement and Cordelia places a hand on your shoulder to calm you.

"Okay, okay relax sweetheart. Come on," she laughed, guiding you out the door. You got into the passenger seat and put your seatbelt on as Cordelia started the car. You really were buzzing with excitement, bouncing your legs, fidgeting with your fingers.

"Thank you so much Delia. I really needed a day out. Especially with you."

Cordelia just looked over at you with the warmest of smiles and kissed your cheek.

"Any time dove."

You looked down with red cheeks as she started driving. She pulled up to a Panera and looked at you, tilting her head. You just nodded with a smile and she pulled into the parking lot. You walked in together, hand in hand and go up to order your food. Cordelia told you to pick out a table to sit at and you did so.

Once you sat down, you looked out the sunny window with a smile, thinking about how lucky you were to have an entire day with Delia. The supreme. She was always so busy and now you got her all to yourself. You snapped out of your thoughts when she places your tea in front of you with a confused face.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" You look confused as well until you wipe your cheek and see the remains of a tear on your fingers. "We can leave if you want to sweetie. Is it too bright or loud or-" she started, kneeling in front of you until you leaned forward and just pulled her into a hug.

"I'm okay. I'm just happy," you whispered.

"Happy? Well that's better than being upset," she scoffs, holding you tighter. "I love you little dove."
