You sat in class during your lesson on history of witch craft with Miss. Snow. The day seemed to drag on and you just wanted to go hang out with Cordelia in the greenhouse.
You've been at the academy since you were ten, when there were only three other girls and you've always been so close with Cordelia. You were her little dove.
Daydreaming of going to hang out with your favorite woman and helping her with potions and things like that danced across your head like ballerinas across a stage.
That was until the slam of a book on your desk killed them, making you jump. Miss Snow had an eyebrow raised and everyone was looking at you.
"Miss y/l/n, I do hope you're paying attention."
"Oh I'm sorry... I am."
"Good."
You awkwardly shift in your seat, resting your chin in your palm, drawing your attention back to the ginger.
"Now girls, as you know, this weekend is a home weekend!"
You feel as though you've been stabbed in the heart as everyone looks at you once again, including Myrtle. It sucked being the one person not having a home to go back to.
"So... Miss Cordelia and I have decided you girls may take the rest of the day off to go and get your selves packed and such!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "Class dismissed."
You grab your tote bag of books and materials, making your way out to the greenhouse. You find Cordelia talking to a girl named Lacey who was Queenie's niece. She had just came to visit for a couple days. She was only 4 and Cordelia giggled as the small girl looked at a crystal in amazement. You were confused why she was in there because Cordelia normally wouldn't allow younger girls in here, seeing it could be dangerous.
"You wanna look at these ones honey?" she asked with a bright smile, lifting the girl in her arms, handing her a large amethyst crystal. "Careful," she whispered as the young girl took it in her hands and turned it, inspecting each crack and ridge.
"It's really pretty!"
"Isn't it?" Cordelia laughs.
"I think if I were a crystal... I would be..." the girl started to say as Cordelia watched her look over the large display of them. You felt tears brim your eyes until your shaking hand that rested on a table knocked over a small potion bottle, making it crash to the floor, shattering. Cordelia and the girl both look over at you in surprise. Cordelia immediately saw you were upset and her eyebrows sunk down into a worrisome expression but you just ran off. You ran to your shared bedroom with Zoe and Queenie.
Zoe and Queenie were now 23 and 25, teaching at the school. Normally it would be weird to share a room with teachers for students but you've seen them as your sisters for years. You curl up by the bay window of your bedroom, wrapping yourself in a blanket, watching the rain fall. You then feel an urge to do something you may regret.
Y/N: Hey mom... I miss you. It's home weekend at the academy where we go home for the weekend to visit family. Do you think I could come visit? It's been a few years now. Love you.
You put your phone down and soon hear a knock on your door.
"Hey little dove it's me. Can I come in?"
You unlock the door with your powers, keeping your eyes away from it, desperately wiping your tears. She opens the door and softly closes it behind her. She turns to you, walking over and sitting on the cushioned window sill.
