The Swamp.
1.1.0.
Walking on the shallow muddy trails on a mild sunny day, a couple slowly headed towards the nearby highway putting aside their exhaustion for so long.

Among them was a fair-toned, ginger-head woman, bearing reflective hazel eyes. She wore her sweat-drenched hair in a loose but untidy bun. Her sweat stain on her sky-coloured jersey.

"Jack, how long do we have to walk?" Spoke the lady in her fatigued state, still wearing the burden of her brown travellers' bag.

"A mile;" Responded in his deep muscular voice.

A man with blonde hair, and similar hazel eyes as this lady with a comparatively pale skin tone seemed a little more stable when compared to his lady following the trail. His physique was built heavy and muscular enough although his dark-shaded tank top couldn't hide his taint of sweat. Their walk was indeed so long even though the distance was well covered.

Their shoes were quite soiled, and the sun shone harsher against their weariness.

"It's quite sunny!" Exclaimed this lady, almost exhausted with her palms damp and sweaty, but her grip still steady on her brown bag's strap.

"Kelly, let's take a break to the nearby mangroves first," announced Jack.

First thing Kelly smiled reddening her freckled cheeks and her smile so shy that the sun was on her side. The shy queen had her amazing glow up in the sun when she could finally break out and shout out loud.

"YIPEE!"

Her excitement reached no limit.

"Are you sure the water is safe," taunted Kelly making an innocent yet silly pout while the sun broke loose on her weary face even though the overhead tree barks shielded them quite adequately.

"My dear darling, don't you speak on me today," spoke Jack narrowing his eyes in a silly manner.

Sitting against the gold shimmering water, they started their little conversation and later on, the couple had professionally dived into the sparkling calm swamp waters with a narrow splash.

Leaving behind a full splash of sparkling golden droplets. Kelly would lower her face in the water to enjoy the calm yet the warmth here while her curls spread all over like her ginger crown. She had lifted her head to face the golden sky while she relentlessly floated on the water's surface, She then yelled out for Jack. While she tried looking for him all over, her sight faded apart. From over the trunks and the falling mangrove roots, a chill ran through her spine over what she thought she had illustrated out of her imagination. Cautiously while lifting her head back into the water for Jack. She didn't bother at all until she could hear him speak. He called her so casually and she did could feel a lot relieved momentarily.

"Caught you, Kelly!" Expressed Jack, his face still barely visible yet astonished her.

"You never change, Jack." Stated Kelly still recovering from the startle. Jack could stay half submerged and Kellyat this pint only had her face to the sun. They were separated from a distance and Kelly had to shade her hazel eyes just to have a good look over her husband.

"Jack, your expressions seem off.
Is something different from before?"

His face was partially visible yet readable and Kelly could sense from what she could see from her hazed-up sight being obstructed by bright daylight that something was not normal here.

"An unpleasant site or more like a
A drowned body."

Hesitantly he spoke and his gaze lowered.

"Are you sure?" continued Kelly.

"Yes I am, and I can only say he has brunette hair." Spoke Jack.

"Take me to where to find it," spoke Kelly preparing herself.

Jack took Kelly deep inside the water, taking various changing routes across the deep seaweeds and dunked-up junk, while swimming across the soaked tree trunks, Jack and Kelly strongly swam ahead for the new eerie discovery that could turn the lives of many up ahead.
