Chapter 3

Everything seemed a lot to hear and he had already listened a lot. His eyes had seen a lot today. He started feeling cautious about the stinging rot and yet he could never make himself leave the place. The position he stood in next to what felt like a world to him in a person was just shattered and scattered around like pieces torn and scattered for purpose.

His world felt shattered as his love was exactly right in front of him, left open to rot. Maggots swarmed and showed themselves on closer inspection. Maggots felt everywhere and at every part of the room.

There was even more to just tear and dislocation. The maggots that punched holes through her.

It weighed down Tyler emotionally and mentally. He felt burdened to know every minute detail about this horrible reality.

Would it help him if Quinton would rather not choose to speak with him, and instead choose someone else as Wynn who would not feel that burdened at all?

"Madam Quinton, are you leaving? I can't move right away. I need time,"

"I can't stand this stink either, it would make me sick," responded Quinton in her casual fashion. They walked out leaving him alone in the room for what felt like a few minutes for them.

But for Tyler, who was left alone himself in this terrifying nightmarish sight.

Tyler cried a lot yet he was more silent. Tears rolled down while he gripped the chain he got out from her guts. It smelled a little different. The chain caught a nasty stink from her gut suggesting that it could have been there longer than imagined.

Realization hit him hard but there was nothing he could vent his frustration on. He wanted to scream and catch the gaze of whoever did it but was still not sure who.

He was left with nothing but his rage bottled and the tears that brought him relief to the slightest. His gaze was still attached to her condition on the deathbed.

Tyler stayed closer to Umber even after the fume felt hurting and made him cough. He just wanted to stand next to her maybe when he could just know that it was her and believe that everything that hinted the truth would never lie. From Quinton and the soaked necklace in his grip.

Tyler just wanted his Umber back, the Umber that was always next to him, and the girl with her beautiful ash eyes, brunette hair, and the most beautiful colored skin that she inherited. Tyler felt greedy enough knowing that his eyes would always crave.

"I was supposed to protect her as I said to her and now I feel the most useless standing next to get in such a state.

Umber, I could never look at this reality the same. The way you have to die on me while leaving behind such a horrid memory to remember."

His breath began to get stuck, his heart rate doubled, the pressure felt a lot through his nerves and his eyes began seeing nothing.

Quinton waited patiently on her seat for him, waiting for him for the past few minutes. Her nerves gave up, so she put herself to open the closed autopsy room door.

The stink had her coughing as it busted out, even her mask didn't help her a lot. Quinton cared a lot about him indeed and that's what took her back again to check on him.

She expected the worst but was shown by this bad sight. The sight that made her sob.

She dragged herself out of her table, only to be able to see him lie down on the ground next to the stretcher where Umber was put on. His hand gripped the very bloody chain pretty tightly and him lying so close to the stretcher. Some of the blood that dripped, poured right through his freckles and his ginger hair made him look like any fallen prince. Fallen for love for this last time.

Tyler woke up in a hospital room. He wondered how he reached there, he looked around from up and down the room and observed every particular thing in there. He didn't expect to see Quinton standing and anxiously waiting to speak. The place where she stood was just as close to her bed and a bit near the doorway. Tyler wondered if she stood there or got to enter right away.

She was standing with grief covering up her expression. Her words expressed herself but her reaction described as if she wanted to help him through everything but was unable to.

"It was a panic attack. Your heart had a very abnormal rhythm and your pulse rate just acted so random.

Tyler, don't lie to me was this your first experience of a panic attack?"

His hazel eyes gazed at her like nothing when she continued to speak.

"Now how do you feel?"

Tyler only nodded, his ginger curly hair was a mess and he felt a little colder now.

"Don't judge me for my advice but. Tyler, you are more sensitive. Even more than required. Umber Penelope, whoever she meant for you. You even shared a matching necklace with her. If it was for anything more. Just forget and be prepared. You have work and she is all gone.

We are closer than ever. I know she was mercilessly killed, and abused, and showing you her dead body was one of my worst decisions up to today. And I am sorry for it, I felt it could be a part of my job. I never knew you were so densely connected to her.

Be strong, at least fight for her justice for you got a chance that a rare amount of people could have got. Serve her what her dead body deserves. Make your correct choices."

Quinton only tried to cheer Tyler with every statement she had in her mind currently. After all, Quinton felt her friendship with Olivia had made her quite a responsible
to care for everyone that meant something.

Tyler listened patiently to what Quinton had to share with him. Even tho he never willed to even face her or listen to her yet he listened to everything with his hazel green eyes staring up over the ceiling while he lay all relaxed.

"Stay fine, stay strong. It's all you got to say. You have seen it with me and you know everything about us. You know us in person. It's not even like we are just strangers. I can't stay calm, I can't stay smiling more than necessary, and I can't force happiness when there is nothing left for me.

I loved her and she meant me a lot. I want her to be fine and by my side till the end.

Madame, I would still work, work for her at least. I am stronger when it comes to my responsibilities. Not only can I be stronger, I can be wise and more flexible in to schedule as well. I am aware of everything and I will eventually work it, I need some time to proceed myself just as fine and I will make you recklessly glad."

Tyler talked all calm when he managed to put up this conversation with Quinton. He maintained his emotional display well only to make Quinton feel all relieved for once she worried for him.

He maintained his cheerful face before Quinton and talked to her like he felt fine when he woke up on the hospital bed. He talked about his concern for Umber before her but then sooner made her realize that he was willing to shape himself into any mould ahead.

Tyler could maintain his face straight and emotionless while talking to Quinton, but it was just a matter of fact after she left him alone in the room that he broke out completely feeling devastated and nerve-wracking from what he has to learn about Umber. Every word from Quinton and his nightmarish memory from the autopsy table.

Tyler sobbed while left alone on the hospital bed.
