Chapter 2

Helena sat on the chair facing Jenifer in the dim-lit interrogation room.

"Myself Jenifer Zacharias, during my vacation I was on this hiking trip. Covering several miles on foot when I stopped for a while near the swamp I accidentally came across this body drowned. I never imagined, my relaxation would reveal such a horrific sight." Explained Jenifer.

"By your explanation, it seems you are not familiar with the dead." Clarified Helena.

"Not at all, and I was not prepared either." Spoke Jenifer. "Investigator, I am afraid I can't be of any use to this case." Continued Jenifer. Helena reluctantly allowed Jenifer to leave the interrogation room.

"Mrs Queensley, I request some more time for my investigation." Advised Monty.

"I am currently working on the small piece of evidence That I have fetched from the scene. Ismail helped me deliver the body for the autopsy. I shared a conversation with Mr Lorris for making a clear sketch out of this distorted face." Spoke Monty standing alongside Noah.

"So who is prepared to fetch all the results." Asked Noah facing Monty in the gathering.

"I; Lorris had said he would personally hand the sketch over to Leon sir and Dr. Monrey also expressed her interest in meeting Leon sir." Interrupted Ismail.

"Miss Catherine, Mr. Ian, and Mr. Yaseen also Miss Kingsley although she is absent from the gathering today. I appreciate your dedication to the case itself." Spoke Veronica with a pleasing expression.

"Leon, can I come along with you to the Doctor's office." Suggested Helena keeping her voice audibly low. Hearing her make a request Leon smiled in blush out of his shyness as she looked straight in the direction of Veronica while cutting off her eye contact with Leon who stood right beside her.

The following day during the early morning hours Mrs Wong accompanied Mr Harris to Dr Monrey's office.

"Good morning, Dr. Monrey." Spoke Leon in a very cheerful tone.

"Hello there couple, I feel glad to always bug you during these early hours." Spoke Quinton trying to pull off a joke.

"Hello Dr Monrey, it's pleasant to see you this often." Spoke Helena in a charming smile.  Quinton further led them within the autopsy display room leading through the door that was stationed behind her chair. Walking across all the covered stretchers they stopped across a bed. Quinton revealed the half-decomposed body as soon as she took the sheets off bed 7.

"The works have been our team's masterpiece.
What a brilliant matter you got us involved in.

It's been a pleasure to have this experience in my lifetime." Spoke Quinton as her dark eyes revealed the spark of her interest.

"Your body of interest had been underwater for quite a long. The brief state of facial distortion up to muscular swelling and skin discoloration superficially explains it. But dealing with professional hands, my team has deeply examined his body fluids to find this deep sitting evidence. We have discovered several aquatic microscopic organisms that inhibited your victim's body. And moving deeper within the examination. The swollen tissues of your victim's muscles were completely fine, it didn't exhibit any signs of strain or any damage. This is completely abnormal for a drowned victim. This again hints us the fact that our victim has succumbed to sudden forced death. However, the next piece is gonna blow away your senses.
