Chapter 6

He inhaled deeper for this time, for he sat all alone, all by himself waiting for what was ahead.

When he clicked on the play icon, the footage started to play. The act that enrolled itself from the time where she was taken onto the bus.

This footage seemed like the one taken from Umber's lost smart spy cam device setup. Even tho the device was found broken the footage could still be recovered and reviewed. The videography seemed not much of his use since the lighting system didn't help a lot and the mechanism lacked night light adjustability, but the audio seemed a lot perfectly captured and portrayed as it happened.

The voice that roamed around through his headset, the horrible voice that he could barely adjust to. Tyler had seen quite a bunch of videos from before and chatted with quite a lot of people who got their hands on Ichigo's family stone. He heard a lot of voices from the tortured souls but neither of them matched with her perfect expression when her screams echoed through his headset. The screams that idealized pain, pain upon being tormented to death, and pain of a person who is about to be dead.

Tyler never knew this side of Umber, her voice, and her loud dialogues when she lastly remembered her loved ones' names before going down for complete silence altogether.

Mom, Dad, Tyler, Madame Kingsley, I am sorry. I made a mistake that cost me my life. I have been short-sighted and I should have listened to you Madame Kingsley.

Tyler, I loved you and I am sorry that I had to hurt you back then.

I am sorry Tyler, but I only loved you,"

Her pitch dulled down to whisper but the camera could capture it loud enough for her words to be heard as well. The day repeated in his mind when Umber purposely gave him the ring back, the ring that Tyler had made heartedly for her only to have it returned mercilessly.

Tyler could never read her mind even if he wished to, but the moment he heard her apologize to him while standing at the death door herself. Her life's last words confessing her true feelings for him. Every evidence that he walked over, every second he spent walking deeper with the knowledge.

Truth pained him more comparatively. The pain he endured after listening to her voice this time. From rewinding to when he still didn't come across this everything.

As a strong man, emotionally strong man, or a gentleman, Tyler stayed silent, smiling especially in front of people but deep down he was quite sensitive and easily breakable when it involved the people he loved and cared for.

Umber meant him a lot, the talk he had with her and his promise to her to keep her safe, everything crashed down to his feet, his expectations, his hope everything that once lifted him drained him down being several times heavier than before.

Tyler's spirit punctured, his heart broken, feeling dead but alive while the weight slipped off from his already curved shoulders. As feeble was his heart so were his tears that rolled freely through a sobbing person's face. The eyes of his, his pain hidden from the crowd, the inner child that always complained to him about how selfish he could ever be to stay straight even after knowing everything like this.

Tyler cried for his love, the love that he longed for, the love that opened for him ways only to get smashed so prematurely. The pain she died with and her last words, her final love confession after giving him back his ring.
