Part 2Panic soon covered when the moment the old lady dropped her banging news. Without even further conversation, they all knew who the statement hinted at.
Tyler, out of all the panicking females decided to be the one leading male out of nowhere.
Umber had her anxious, nervous gaze pointing straight ahead at Tyler the whole time while following up the line headed by Tyler's strength.
"Sir, you better be fine wherever you are."
Hummed she, smoothly.
While following ahead of the only last girl, Umber. As her mentor and as a person who feels responsible for her everything, Olivia never turned her hazel green eyes blind on the poor anxious follower of her.
Following along the trials through the narrow-cut edges somewhere where the trees grew a lot thicker, bushier, and more irregularly old with the dry soil moist.
Umber had her ash eyes scan through every possible and narrowed but bending rays formed through the cuts and fine bending branched stems of the denser mangrove trees in the dark.
"Hurry up and be careful," shouted out the lady.
"Ma'am, would you please describe the situation more clearly before trying to panic us with blinded directions," added Umber with her request more clearly and politely despite her state.
"Would you mind leaving me space for my actions?" Scolded the lady with a harsh tone when Umber was politely asking. Always so aware of everything around her, Noah approached Umber right away to console her immediately.
When the blades of the grass disappeared further, there shone tiny, floating, twinkling sparks accompanied by the soothing sound of water hitting against the tall upright grooved trees. Exactly there her steps ended and their trial followed to a halt.
At the place where she stood, she turned around and spoke.
"Prepare yourselves to fetch him out."
Her sudden speech was disrupted into a small buzz among the cop team when Umber had her mind disrupted between her conscious and subconscious state. Even in her state, her ash eyes scanned through Tyler intensely as he was again the bold one to encourage himself to dive to save a life. His dive was so much of a soul southern that even the dull moonlight left no attempt for making it the eminent one.
Waiting anxiously not only for Monty but also for Tyler to come out, Umber stood out in herself as her ash eyes made silver under the moonlight only longing for Tyler to walk up to the shore. Umber subconsciously had her hands rumble through her pant pocket, a trait of her when stressed. This time while rumbling randomly through her pocket, Umber sensed a paper crumble upon her loose grip.
With her gaze still all across the water while she slowly pulled out the crumbled paper, Umber had her gaze fixed on a dark childish shadow half hidden, the rest revealed but shady while standing behind and within the shade of the huge mangroves and against the moonlight.
While the same time when she dealt with the paper and that shady figure alone. The moment Umber tilted her gaze from the boy to the paper and from the paper to the trees where he was, chills ran all over her, her breath stuck and her eyes left betrayed. Even tho the message on the paper meant everything, the immediate disappeared suddenly and unbelievably.
'Umber,
I love you and will do it forever...'Reading the note while recalling everything that happened before her eyes here, from Tyler being gone in the water for quite a while to a strange flash representing a child-like dark figure. Umber had lived her worst and best on the same day.
Tyler's sweet love message and her empty longing eyes waiting for him to show himself.
Still waiting impatiently over time, Umber realized that she should call Wynn for backup.
Even tho she hesitated with her expressions but spoke anyhow.
"Wynn, I have waited enough for both Monty and Tyler to return that I feel to have lost my calm already."
Her voice trembled, and tears started forming in her eyes.
Wynn responded consoling her,
"Maintain yourself Umber. I was already quite aware as he was still on a call with me while I heard through the phone before his phone went off and I even tried calling him again but without a response from him. I know your situation Umber."
Even on the phone, it was still so audibly clear for Wynn to hear her gasping sadly while crying.
"What did you wait for? Why do we not know what happened at the right time before? Wynn, do you know the consequences of your actions."
Umber had her teary eyes still glare at the direction where Tyler descended deep into the water. Glaring over the water's surface again but now from where she remembered the exact spot around where she last spotted Tyler above water. Even tho her ash eyes were drenched in tears and her vision all blurred. Umber was still so surprised to suddenly observe the blurred appearance of the same shadowy figure twice on the same day. To her distraught, his appearance this time was quite clear yet blurred due to her crying.
The sight of that figure made her forget crying for an intense moment where she had her breathe caught up in her lungs due to shock but the next familiar voice from her side made her deeply exhale everything happily with relief, but her emotional shift and everything around made her again lose the sight of that shadowed child.
"Wynn, listen. Tyler is out beside me and he made out safe and does Monty but here Tyler wants to talk to you."
Spoke Umber before she handed her phone to Tyler and Tyler too had a short conversation on the phone before it got handed over to Noah.
Umber straightaway couldn't handle everything she was forced to go through this day. Every consequence, including the chill weather, the gloomy night by the creepy-looking old shoreside swarmed by darkest, light-blocking thick mangroves, and with everything, the team had to withstand empty stomachs. Before she could feel her tongue dry, Umber suddenly collapsed unconscious out of blue.
