Chapter 2

"It's right time that we prepare us how to fool her on this very auspicious fool's day." Spoke Umber, giggling silently. "As if she cares." Added Zareena. "Come on, you are on the job act like you do." Added Wynn. While waiting in the shade of the narrow passage. "Yeah, I am almost as curious about our team's progress." Added Umber.

"I overhear you as always when you think I am not and every time you make me go back a step of my life. My time when I first entered this building as a recruit with my team. Introducing you to my then teammates, Ismail, Noah and Monty. You will face these guys eventually. It's just we are scattered now. We used to work exactly in the room you are in now.

As a senior, jokes aside it's my advice for you to focus more on work. In this competition, you mustn't be overcome. Especially you Umber, the conversation I walked up to. If you keep up with your childish pace I am afraid you would be left behind your team. And work with pleasure not pressure. You should finally stand at a pace above me.

Speaking of myself, I let Noah involved here somehow.

So we are up to this conclusion.

The dead's identity reads Frank Denim and his index reveals his green eyes and brunette hair with some facial hair, not only did she correlate the body's image but also she recovered an earlier missing complaint filed at our department." Revealed Olivia in her firm accent.

"Congratulations you all, she is excited to meet the new team I am working with." They greater her with an adoring grin before making their way through the passageway. At the mouth of the passageway, the team unknowingly came across Ismail.

"So you are the recruits I heard off." Jerked he, cutting their way.

On the way to meet Olivia in her compartment, Ismail cautiously knocked on the wooden panel.

"Come in Ismail, how are you and good of you it was at the moment I walked in that you knocked." Spoke Olivia while making her desk presentable.

"You gathered yourself a team without even letting your old mate know. And talking about you, I judged you on the way you lectured those seeming brats. I am impressed for how I know you from the past." Spoke Ismail sitting on the seat across from her.

"Glad you complimented and still I see them as a bunch of children and never as a team on how naive they are. I still see my responsibility to at least guide them during these days till they settle themselves among us." Continued Olivia.

"Pardon me, because I will be bothering you for now. I want to have two of your children. I was judging their behaviour from before you even walked up, so I made up my mind for who's gonna be by my side and I won't accept a no."

"Spill the beans Ismail, say Mrs Wong wanted assistance. Who would better not understand your situation? It's me, Olivia. We have worked among."

"Gentle of you, for now, I will be having the brilliant ones and will leave the dumber girl on you. What was her name again? It's Umber." Spoke Ismail. Breaking into a loud chuckle she gently slapped her hard onto her head.

"Guess you have to convince Leon yourself. I won't even give it a try."

"It's not fair Olivia, for you were my best friend and even if I relay you how badly Leon wants to see you will you still be stubborn?" Asked Ismail. "No time for a talk deal it yourself professionally cop." Taunted Ismail. "You are so different today, it's good." Spoke Ismail as they part ways.

'Did he trick me?' Murmured Olivia walking through the closed door of Leon's office. Running through her thoughts Olivia observed a stranger cut through her way. As the stranger walked past her, her glare landed on Leon standing almost outside but around the doorway to the interrogation room dumbfounded in his memories.

"Sir, did you probably have a chat with anyone new?" Questioned Olivia in a puzzled way. To which he nodded.

"How did it go?" Questioned she.

"We have places to attend, gather your rookie team to directly assist me." Responded he, almost immediately while ignoring her previous question.

"I see, I am the only one invited this early." Spoke Tyler with his curious hazel eyes glaring at Olivia's.

"That's because I want a lesser crowd and hereby I wanted to say you we are at a loss of two members and you are working with Umber. It's final I had a chat with Mr Leon regarding this matter." Continued Olivia while working on her desktop screen.

'One less rivalry!' Exclaimed Tyler keeping his voice low.

"You lost your rival and I lost my calm, I lost the most brilliant teammate. Now I expect even the best performance from your side knowing that he got what he wanted." Spoke Olivia "Who?" Questioned Tyler.

"Ismail!." Answered Olivia.

"Does everyone know this in my team?" Questioned Tyler.

"I will mention at the gathering." Continued Olivia.

On the way to the gathering, Olivia and Tyler met up with the rest. Olivia explained the deal of separation to her team and addressed about Helena Wong and Ismail Yaseen who are interested in having Wynn Ross and Zareena Tasneem in the squad.

Moving apart from their fellow teammates, Olivia could as well feel the pressure Umber was going through the movement for not having to stay longer with her kin at the mission.

Umber was still a seeking officer who could gather an opportunity to learn. She was as naive as expected to not hide her emotions from expressions.

Olivia warmly gestured her with a gentle smile that made her regain confidence as they moved ahead for the group discussion under Olivia's compartmentally separated column.

"Umber, Tyler. It is understandable of your concern, for I had passed through your stage. It's quite often that people shuffle in life but I suggest you move on with the deal. On the previous day, I was informed by Leon to get you prepared for a task ahead which tags our team straight under his control.

Tyler and Umber walked out with a new message and a task from the only senior they could assure to rely on.

The thought of not seeing Zareena pumped Umber with an urge to have someone relatable and of her pool to suggest her instead of another stranger.

She relied on her mother Caroline, momentarily till the line remained unanswered making her settle onto some voice messages.

"Mom, good morning.
I see you are busy with something and just wanted to inform you that I could barely attempt to survive this forest of tasks all along with my friends that I am made to part ways with one of my best buddy more like  my soul herself, Zareena." Speaking her name Umber couldn't help but stray a loose tear down her eye.

Looking at his friend in despair, Tyler swiftly moved onto the defensive mode while even being puzzled by this sudden change.

"Don't you worry Umber, you still got me on your team." Quoted him, to make her smile again. Tyler's words assured Umber to smile her brightest.

"Glad to see you reshape, now only wanted to inform you to be prepared for the target and for that first we have to make a combined stop at Leon Harris's office for a meet-up discussion before we move on." Spoke Olivia hoping to catch up to them while she paced towards their direction.
