We keep walking until we find ourselves on a small hill ledge,
"You think that's an abandoned temple?" I ask impatiently as I point to the small brick looking structure in the middle of the clearing
"Probably" he nods as we head temporarily in a different direction to get off the hill.
We head to the middle of the structure
"Chess pieces" Ash whispers as he picks up the black queen piece
"Hmm well that was easy" I shrug
"Not like this place was hard to find" I turn around to see my sister and the blondie, the girl we met last night, Yang I believe
"Hi" Blondie waves
"Hi" I reply, Blake turns to Ash who introduces himself before someone yells from above us "did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asks
"I..." Blondie stutters as Ruby ends up falling into a tree
I turn to see this excitable girl running over to pick up a castle piece and begins to sing "I'm the queen of the castle" repetitively, well until her teammate shouts for her
"Nora!"
"Coming Ren"
"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?" Blake asks,
"I.." Blondie stutters once again
"Did she just run the whole way here with a Deathstalker on her tail?" Ash asks ,I turn to see what he's looking at and I see one Phyrra Nikos being followed by a huge Grimm who ends up catching up to her and throwing her towards us
"I can't take it anymore can everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!" Blondie snaps
Ruby comes to meet us and once she does Blondie goes to embrace her
"Ruby"
"Yang" Before the two embrace the girl Nora comes between them shouting
"Nora!"
"Yang" Ruby points up to where Weiss is still gripping onto a huge flying grimm "I said jump" she comments
"She's going to fall" I comment being logical
"She'll be fine" Ruby brushes it off
"She's falling" Ren, who had joined us a bit ago after following Nora, says
To our surprise the blonde boy comes out of the tree, the same one Ruby came out of earlier, to somewhat catch Schnee, I don't know what he thought would happen because they both fall, Schnee falling into a sitting position on his back
"Great the gangs all here now we can die together" Blondie exclaims
"Not if I can help it" Ruby runs at the Scorpion looking grimm but she is just pushed back and circled by the flying grimm, luckily for her, once her cloaks caught, Schnee protects her.
"What should we do?" Who I now know is called Jaune, asks
"There's no point dilly dallying our mission is right in front of us" Schnee speaks
"She's right, there's no point in fighting these things" Ruby states
"Run and live, now that is an idea I can get behind" Jaune nods
The other teams pick out a chess piece and we set off towards a bridge at the bottom of the cliff but the Grimms follow and circle the bridge cutting us off
"Just great" comes Blondie's sarcastic response to the situation
Ruby, Blondie, Schnee, Nora, Jaune, me and Ash head for the flying Grimm across the bridge as the rest of them stay behind taking on the Scorpion Grimm, however whilst we are crossing the bridge the flying Grimm cracks it causing us all to fall, so I quickly but effectively attach a rope to an arrow and shoot it up managing to hit the bird to flip myself onto it and slashing it with my spear but it doesn't do anything after me my sister tries with her blades ending up with the same result.
"It's too strong, my blades won't penetrate" Blake informs Blondie
"Let's hit it with everything we've got" Blondie informs
I transform my spear into the crossbow and keep firing at it
"None of this is working" Ash shouts
"I've got an idea, cover me"
Blake shoots one side of her weapon at Blondie who takes a hold of it as Schnee freezes the Grimm birds tail to the mountain.
Ruby connects her Scythe onto the rope whilst Weiss pulls the rope back with her semblance
"Leave it to you to come up with this idea" Schnee shakes her head
"Think you can make the shot?" Ruby asks her
"Can I?" Schnee comments smugly but Ruby doesn't seem to catch this so she asks again
"Can you?"
"Of course I can" Schnee snaps
"You ready?" Blake asks me
You see my semblance is tricky, it is of course invisibility, now I can become invisible whenever but I can make others invisible but I've only ever managed one person or one object so far, though people say if I practise I could manage more but this has not yet happened but I can make Ruby invisible however it takes a lot of discipline and concentration to manage to keep it up
I nod at Blake, as I focus on Ruby, she flickers in and out of visibility until she becomes fully invisible and Schnee shoots her towards the bird Grimm, her Scythe hits under its neck dragging the Grimm up the mountain as she climbs quickly with the help of Schnee, once she makes it to the top I drop my semblance and she shoots her scythe and snaps off the Grimm's head.
"Wow" I mutter
"Well that was a thing" Blondie comments
Timeskip
"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Nora Valkyrie and Phyrra Nikos, you brought back the white rook pieces, you will now be knows as team JNPR. Led by Jaune Arc, well done young man" Phyrra playfully punches Jaune but he falls causing the hall of students and teachers to erupt into laughter
"Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiou Long you collected the white Knight pieces, you will hereby be known as team RWBY led by Ruby Rose" Blondie quickly embraces her younger sister
"Ash Cole, Coral May, Lavender Lowell and Silver Belladonna, you collected the black queen pieces, you will be known as team CLAS. Led by Coral May" said girl nods respectively as we leave the stage having been the last team formed.
"This is shaping up to be an interesting year" Ozpin comments
