7 - " - especially with my past in the White Fang"

"This is a bad idea Little Rose!" I call after her as she heads into the building "we should have told someone!" I call again after getting no response the first time but once again I hear nothing from the girl in front, I groan as I run after her.

Little Rose heads into the lift gesturing me to follow, I head in with her reluctantly as she uses her scroll to activate it and put in the floor.
"You have reached the Call centre" the speaker on the wall sounds as the lift comes to a sudden stop, we grab our weapons and Little Rose stumbles out on her heels
"Stupid lady stilts" I hear her mutter and I roll my eyes as I glide into the room perfectly on my heels smiling smugly.
"Hey" I turn to see who Little Rose is calling to and I see a girl in a black outfit wearing a mask
"It's not a masquerade ball so take off the mask; there's no one else here" i gesture around the room as I keep my eyes focused on the mysterious figure. The girls sleeves set on fire and a fireball shoots from her hands in our direction I flip out of the way as I shoot at her but she easily blocks it. Little Rose kicks off her heels and to my utter surprise both hit the girl, I struggle to hold in a laugh as I shoot an arrow at her again. The lift dings again which distracts us all, I use my semblance to become invisible as the door slides open to reveal Ironwood, he watches Little Rose as I look around the room taking note of the odd girls absence. I head to where she was and all that is in her place is some ash, obviously from the fire. Could have been her semblance I suppose but I doubt it.
"Miss Rose what are you doing here?" Ironwood asks Little Rose ,who has just noticed the other girls absence
"There was this girl who knocked out the guards I saw her and went after her, she was right over there" Little Rose points to where I am and Ironwood walks over and inspects the area
"ash? That's odd" he mutters
"She fought with fire" Little Rose informs him
"Come Ruby" Ironwood gestures her to leave with him "Ozpin is outside" he adds and she  leaves the room and I deactivate my semblance as I look around the room, the ash heads all the way to the window, I walk over and look up. She couldn't have jumped we're to high up, well unless her semblance is flying or she has a modified weapon or something but it would be much easier to scale the building. I climb out of the window using the ledge as a balance as I climb up onto the roof. A small pile of ash catches my eye, I pick it up and rub it between my fingers as I look towards the party. She was wearing a mask and was somewhat covered in shadows, how would we know if she was walking among us?

Eventually I get down and head back through the window and back down in the lift. I walk back into the party to be met by a concerned sister, I shouldn't be surprised.
"Where have you been?!" She whispers accusingly as she pulls me to the side
"Went for a walk it's stuffy in here" I shrug, I stretch my arms and yawn "I'm tired, Goodnight" I head to my dorm avoiding anyone else successfully but of course Little Rose is sat outside my dorm playing on her scroll "I'm tired little rose, can't we do this tomorrow?" I roll my eyes as I head into the dorm being followed by the little rose "really?" I turn around to see she's sat on Coral's bed
"Why didn't you want General Ironwood to know you were there?" I roll my eyes again
"I prefer not to get involved, especially with the teachers and generals and that, I'm not completely sure I can trust them, besides they'll be obligated to be more open with you." I shrug as I sit on my bed facing her
"Why?" She asks and I huff a little frustrated
"Your Ozpin's favourite and it's so obvious, they'll tell you everything because Ozpin will convince them, they'd be less likely to divulge information if I'm there, especially with my past in the White Fang" I lift my eyebrows as if to say it's obvious.
"Do they know you were a member?"
"Ozpin suspects it" She nods
"I've got a meeting with the teachers tomorrow about what happened tonight, as Ozpin said I should get some rest before hand"
"Of course he did" I roll my eyes
"Can I meet you after?" She asks me taking me by surprise
"Why?" I ask
"Because you were there I want to keep you in the loop, besides your really smart and I might need your help figuring this out"
"I'm flattered little rose but don't you have a team for that, Schnee has proved she's smart, my sister may be quiet and a little short tempered at times but she's incredibly intelligent and will help if asked" i eye her
"You saw her and I'm not stupid you stayed there after me for some reason" I sigh
"fine, meet me in the library after" she nods
"Okay" she goes to leave "hey why do you call me little Rose, it's kind of weird since Torchwick calls me Little Red?"
"You are very small Ruby besides when I meet people a name sometimes comes to mind and I just stick with it, though yours came later"
"Okay, thanks, Goodnight, see you tomorrow" she gets up excitedly and skips out
"Yep" I reply as I head into the bathroom to get ready for bed.

I don't know what's going on but I do know that this is just the beginning, that fire lady as Little Rose calls her is important and I'm going to find out why.
