5 - "I'm already sick of school"

The four of us finally make it to our dorm and I collapse onto one of the beds
"So where are you two from?" I look up and realise Coral is looking between me and Ash
"Mistral" he simply answers
"Vacuo" is what I decide on because if I told them I'm from Menagerie it'd be obvious that I'm a faunas and I don't want to get into that

Coral nods
"You see me and Cora have known each other since we were young we always wished to be on the same team" Lavender speaks up, I nod along though I'm so tired I don't really care at all, so I go into one of my suitcases and pull out my book before flipping it open and starting to read; the chatter from my new teammates fading into the background as I dive into a different world.

Morning

"Come on lazy" I feel someone nudging me
"Blake leave me alone" I moan but when I open my eyes I remember where I am "oh"
"Yeah we should unpack before classes" I realise it was Lavender who woke me
"Right" I sigh before reluctantly sitting up, I see Lavenders already changed and she's now tying up her black hair ,which is dip dyed lavender at the end, into a tight bun. I swing my legs over the bed to get to my feet before lugging my bags towards my bed so I can finally unpack.

I put my family picture and hair brush on my bedside table and put my books on the one book shelf in the room, i then sort out my clothes putting them in my section of the wardrobe before getting changed and jumping back on my bed for a power nap.

"Hey lazy we gotta go" I open one eye and glare at Ash "just looks like your going back to sleep now get up, class starts at 9 and it's 8:45"
"Right" I once again get out of bed whilst mumbling incoherently. Once I'm ready me and Ash head out the door and on to Professor Ports class or better known as 'Grimm studies.'

Me and Ash sit at the back of the class where Coral and Lavender had already set up camp in a manner of speaking
"How early were you two?" Ash asks the two girls
"Twenty minutes" comes Coral's quick response
"We wanted to be early for our first class" Lavender continues
"No me and Silver were early you two are eager, you know being that early won't make the lesson start quicker?" Ash quips
"Haha" Coral mocks

Finally Professor Port arrives and starts the lesson, I look around the room to realise no one's really listening and I zone it out again along with almost everyone else

"I do sir!" I look up mildly interested to see Schnee practically jumping in her seat
"Let's see then" Schnee goes to change into her combat gear and readies herself in front of the cage
"Come on Weiss!" Blondie encourages and Blake waves a flag which says RWBY on it, when did she get that?
"Represent team RWBY!" Ruby shouts but Schnee basically just tells her to shut up, rude.

Schnee manages to drop her weapon however she still kills the beast with a helpful hint from Ruby mentioning there's no armour on its stomach, which I thought was obvious but clearly not, though Schnee didn't seem to appreciate this even if it helped her.

Timeskip

The rest of the lessons go by somewhat the same, I was undeniably bored the whole time but finally the school day is over.

"I've only had one day of lessons and I'm already sick of school" I repeat for like the third time today
"I know I've heard" Blake grumbles "besides you were the one who wanted to go to this school in the first place"
"Argh can't you just let me moan and not bring real facts into it" I roll my eyes at my sister

Me and Blake are in the cafeteria having dinner whilst I grumble childishly, yes I know it's childish but sometimes you just have to moan

"How are you getting on with your team?" I finally change the subject
"Eh there nice and all, well mostly, Weiss is a bit" she fades out looking for the right description
"High strung, rude, bossy, cold" Blake shakes her head
"I was going to say difficult"
"Sure you were" I roll my eyes
"Ruby's nice and Yang's loud but nice I suppose" she continues, Blake's never good with descriptions "what about your team?"
"Erm Ash is really nice, too nice sometimes but we get along well but he does seem like a flirt but he's friendly, Coral is sarcastic and determined from what I can tell and Lavender doesn't shut up and I've only known her a day."
Blake hums showing she's listening but not commenting
"Hi, mind if I sit with you ladies?" Ash speaks up from behind me, Blake shrugs and I just gesture him to sit down "so being quiet is something that runs in the family, yeah?" He comments
"Haha" is the only response he gets from me
"Hi" Blake finally greets
"Hi Blake" Ash nods

We sit in silence for a while before we head off towards the door to have a walk outside
"It's so strange being here isn't it?" I tilt my head in question at Ash's random comment "I mean I've dreamed of going here for years and now we're here"
"I suppose but I never really thought about it until a few of months ago" I shrug
"Really?!" Blake nods "what would you have done instead?"
"No idea" I raise my arms in an, I have absolutely no idea gesture 🤷🏻‍♀️

And to be honest I don't.
