Trodaí's POV

It's a beautiful day - or would be had I not been summoned to the castle by the royal guard.

"Master Trodaí, forgive us for disturbing your days, we know you stood down after your injury to focus on protecting your family" one of the guards said to me

"Get to the point please. Why was I summoned?" I asked

"We want you to return to the frontlines with us. It would seem trouble is being stirred up on the mainland and having your help could end the battle before it really begins" the captain asked me

"Are you joking, I'm never returning to the frontlines! After I was blinded in my right eye I got permission from their majesties to step down from fighting in order to spend time with my wife and daughter as well as protect them!" I snapped at him then he glared at me

"This is an order Trodaí. You will return to the frontlines whether you like it or not" the captain told me then left the throne room.

I can't return to the frontlines...not when I have a wife and daughter I must protect......as well as our sky wolf clan allies...

After all the guards left, I remained behind to talk with the King and Queen

"Is it true your majesties? I must return to the frontlines?" I asked

"Of course not my friend. That's the new captain of the guard - one who only knew that you were no longer fighting due to your injury and desire to keep your family safe. Despite what happened 13 years ago..." Niamh told me

"Indeed....the fight or flight of the werewolf clans....we were once one big alliance of clans and now each one wants nothing to do with the others. Except for Zero of the sky wolves and my daughter. They've grown a close friendship with each other. Honestly, Naomi, Rowen, Skyla and myself are all for it. Our children may be the key to reforming the once great alliance between the wolves" I responded then bowed out to go home

"Father!" Oiamh shouted as she ran to hug me.

I love coming home and her being the first to hug me, my precious little girl.

"Any word from our deities or are they still silent? It's been about 6 months since we were asked to contact them but we've still heard nothing to this day.." I asked Naomi

"And still nothing. I'm not sure what's going on dear..." Naomi told me as I stroked Oiamh's hair

"Would it be alright if I go meet up with Zero? Maybe the sky wolves have heard something. I promise I won't let them see me and I'll stay hidden" Oiamh asked me

I looked at Naomi who nodded with a smile.

"Sure thing sweet pup. Just remember to stay on land, if they see a forest wolf in the sky they'll definitely be suspicious." I told Oiamh then kissed her on the forehead before she ran to meet her friend

"She is definitely going to lead us to a new and brighter future - maybe one where all the wolf clans are united again..." Naomi said to me

"Indeed. Our precious pup and heir." I stated

Oiamh's POV

I turned into my wolf form in order for me to run as fast as I could to my special spot and see Zero.

Once I arrived I sat down and looked to the clouds above then howled loudly. The signal from me to Zero.

Suddenly in a flash of light, Zero was in front of me.

"You called to me?" He asked with a smirk on his face. I changed back to my human/normal form as to give him a big hug.

"Heh, it's great to see you again Oiamh. Is everything alright though? It's not like you to call me with the howling signal" Zero asked me as we sat in the clearing

"It's been six months since the werewolves were tasked by the king and queen to reach out to our Deities, but we forest wolves haven't heard anything yet. I thought to ask you in case the sky wolves got a response" I explained

"I see...unfortunately no. We haven't heard a response from Apollo or Artemis either and it's worrying. This isn't like them. But what's worse is no one can sense Soli or Crescida either in the heavens - their scent and powers are faint but it seems like they're here in the mortal realm" Zero replied

"WHAT?! They're here in Tír na nÓg?! Since when?" I asked

"I'm not sure but from what our elders have said - the senses are so faint it seems like it's been a year at least, maybe longer. What if the shadow wolves somehow managed to force the wolf goddesses-in-training down from the heavens and are holding them hostage?...They caused the fight or flight remember? I wouldn't put it past them" Zero told me

He's right...those wolves are the enemy of every other clan. Even the fire wolf clan hates them...

"What if we sneak into the shadow clan's territory to see if we can find Soli and Crescida?" I suggested

"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!" Zero asked in shock

"Oiamh you remember what one of their own did to you! If I hadn't used my powers to counter what she did you would've died...it's far too risky to go into their territory..." Zero added.

"YOU DON'T THINK I REMEMBER THAT?! Because I do remember! But if this is potentially what upset the gods and threatens Tír na nÓg, don't you think it's worth a shot trying to fix this issue before things get out of control? We are part of the next generation of guardians - isn't it our duty to defend our Island home?" I explained

"Grrr. Fine I'll help you since it's clear you won't change your damn mind on the situation - as insanely dangerous as it may be" Zero responded.

"Our only issue is getting approval from the supreme Alpha and Luna of our clans - both of whom happen to be our parents. They won't take kindly to this plan and you're magic isn't as strong as mine Oiamh...for some unknown reason." Zero added

Because I used a great deal of magic to seal up the powers I get from being a two tailed wolf like Apollo.......

"You don't have to help me if you don't want to but either way I'm doing this. With or without my parents consent or knowledge" I told him then he returned to the heavens and I went home.

I need to figure this out. For the future of all wolf clans and this Island Kingdom.
