Chapter 17 - Rose and Leyla

(the photo above the chapter name has the official designs for Rose and Leyla :D they are two badass bitches who do whatever it takes to get what they want in life - even murder)

Rose's POV

I made it back to the den Leyla and I call home on the outskirts of Tír ná nÓg Island then went back inside.

"Welcome home sweet Rose" Leyla said to me as I walked to where she was sitting

"It's good to be back home. I've been away for so long I nearly forgot the way to here - thankfully I picked up the scent of your demon energy then followed it here" I replied

"Heh - well you are a changeling who has been spreading seeds of discord and sowing the chaos that grew from them. Are the clans still at odds with each other?" Leyla asked

"Unfortunately no it seems. Nor are the sun and moon in shadow's grasp anymore. The forest and sky wolf crescents led a mission to rescue them and Noir actually lost them. They were a lot harder to get trapped in the mortal world than people seem to think" I responded then sat next to my sister with my swords lying next to me

"I see.....well soon enough the forest moon and alpha will fall then we can expose the crescent for the monster she is then let the clan kill her." Leyla said

I snickered with an evil grin on my face because seeing Oiamh die will be so satisfying for us.

"I'm going to go rest up for a bit - our parents are visiting in two days time and I don't want to seem sleep deprived for them" Leyla added

WAIT WHAT?!

"Mother and Father are coming here?! Why?" I asked

"You know about as much as I do in this situation - I just received the missive saying they were coming. Nothing else was mentioned and I wasn't about to ask" Leyla said then went to her chambers.

Mayhap now would be the best time for me to rest up as well. I've expended so much magic changing my appearance...

I woke up before Leyla, which is odd - normally she has to wake me up cause I sleep, a lot.

I wonder what's wrong with her?

I walked to her room then peered in and saw her asleep still.

"Leyla? You alright?" I asked. We may be sowers of chaos but I still love my older sister and care for her.

Leyla began to wake up as I put my hand on hers.

"Rose?...you're up early" Leyla said as she sat up with her red hair flowing down her torso.

I looked at the time then realised it was indeed early.

I sat on the bed then let out a sigh as I realised that.

"Don't worry sweet Rose. You asking if I was alright proves we stand by each other now and forever." Leyla told me which made me smile.

The day flew by and then tomorrow our parents arrive, this will be interesting.

We heard a carriage pull up outside the manor we call home then saw our parents get out.

Our Father, Balor the Demon King - most feared in the underworld. Then our mother, the Banshee - an omen of death.

Our mother was forbidden from speaking as she only ever cries out, and her cries could deafen a werewolf or anyone with enhanced hearing

"Father. Do what do Rose and I owe this surprise visit?" Leyla asked sternly

Father just slapped her across the face instead of replying.

"T'would seem you forgot some manners Leyla. A Lady never speaks until she is spoken to. Isn't that correct Rose?" Father said.

I just nodded rapidly out of fear. I've always been scared of my father cause of how strict he is. Mother just patted me on the head which I found nice - she always did this to me.

"And Rose, why are you not in your demon form like your sister?" Father asked me.

"I've grown accustomed to this form now Father. It's become my normal appearance when I'm not causing chaos and using my changeling abilities" I replied

"How much chaos have you girls caused since you left the underworld?" he asked both of us

"Enough to destroy bonds of trust between the ten wolf clans, put the island in danger then we did at one point have Crescida and Soli held captive here in the mortal world. However the people we commanded to hold them captive have lost them as the girls returned to the celestial realm. But back to my original question King Balor - Why are you here? You never gave a damn about me and Rose before, we were your pawns to use whilst we lived in the underworld so why, why bother coming to see us in our mortal world home?" Leyla responded

"You dare question me!? The demon king?!" Balor demanded

"WE QUESTION WHY OUR BASTARD FATHER CARES ABOUT US AS HIS TWO DAUGHTERS RIGHT NOW OR JUST CAME TO RETRIEVE HIS PAWNS AGAIN!" Leyla and I shouted at him.

Our mother then began to cry out so I covered my ears

MOM! MY EARS!

"Who do you think will die? Normally she goes to wherever the death will occur then start crying out. Meaning one of us here will die I think" I asked Leyla via telepathy.

"Oh I can tell you who will die - our father - by my hands" Leyla replied which shocked me

In the meantime we led them inside.

"My my, for two pawns you certainly live in luxury. A bit too much luxury for measly pawns such as yourselves" Balor said to us. Our mother was still wailing outside and I've had just about enough of father.

Leyla changed her staff into a sword whilst I summoned my two katanas then we executed Balor there and then. Our mother stopped wailing afterwards then came inside to see Leyla putting father's heart in a jar.

"Finally we're rid of this man and we have what we need to kill Trodaí and his precious wife. The other wolf clans are none of our concern but the forest clan are. Plus we can expose Oiamh for the freak she is and let her clan kill her instead of us." I told rose with a smirk.

We put the heart in our death room (where they make their weapons for murder) then watched our mother vanish back to the underworld. Leyla and I will finish this mission then continue to wreak havoc until this island falls.
