Chapter 10 - Contacting the Deities

Oiamh's POV

So my parents had the bright idea that I try to contact Apollo and Artemis. Why? Because I'm the twin tailed moon wolf. Apollo was the last known to all our kind.

I didn't want to do it in the vicinity of our clan's territory though - I decided I will try to make contact from the moon cliff. It's in an area of neutral territory between all the wolf clans.

"Oiamh do you have everything you need for the ritual?" Mother asked me

"Yes mother I do. Don't worry" I replied

"I'll be right there to protect her Lady Naomi. If anything goes wrong I will do all I can to make sure the ritual isn't disturbed" Zero added

Oh yeah - Zero can come and go from my home. Our parents respect our friendship so they never try to stop us meeting up.

"That means a lot to us Zero...Thank you. Would that we could join you both...but alas things in the mainland have taken a turn and I must be near the castle should the guard have need of me or if the guardians are summoned then your mother needs to be close at hand as well." Father explained.

"Ready to go Oiamh?" Zero asked me

"I am. Let's get going" I told Zero then we departed to head to the moon cliff.

Once we arrived, I immediately got to work in laying the sand in the correct way according to the diagram one of the elders gave to me. Meanwhile, Zero was setting up the talismans to keep the area safe. Talismans he acquired from his own clan as well as I few I got from my clan to boost my own spirit energy for the ritual.

"The area is secured with the barrier talismans when you're ready to go Oiamh" Zero shouted from the base of the cliff then jumped up to the top where I am

"Alright - I'll begin the ritual now. There's a high chance my spirit is going to leave my body though..." I said

"Which is why I came with you to keep your body safe. Don't worry - I won't let anything happen to you" Zero told as I lay back on the ground within the sand.

I began to close my eyes as to let my spirit venture to contact our deities

"Good luck my dear luna" I heard Zero faintly say before I lost consciousness due to my spirit leaving my body

~~~~~In the astral plain and in nobody's POV~~~~~

Oiamh's spirit landed on top of water then looked ahead to see a dazzling palace

"The celestial castle?!" Oiamh stated in shock.

When she squinted ahead she saw two beings coming towards her.

"Who are you and how are you here at the celestial castle? Barrier between the mortal realm and the realm of the deities?" one asked her. He looked like a scorpion, it was then that Oiamh realised this castle was home to the twelve celestian guardians.

"My name is Oiamh Wolf. The Twin Tailed Moon of the Forest. I have come to parlay with Lord Apollo and Lady Artemis. Deities of the Werewolves" Oiamh responded

"Very well. Follow Leo to the castle and I shall go and summon the deities you wish to parlay with" the man told Oiamh then she followed the lion to the castle.

"You needn't worry about the passage of time here Miss Oiamh. Time in these worlds work the same as time in the mortal world" Leo told her.

"I see...that's a relief" Other replied then the other guardian returned with two wolves following behind. One of whom had two tails. This was Apollo and Artemis.

"Are you Oiamh Wolf with whom we speak?" Artemis asked

"Indeed I am my lady. I come on behalf of my mother and father" Oiamh responded then Artemis sat down in front of her whilst Apollo stood to Artemis' side.

"Very well. What is it you wish to speak with us about?" Apollo asked sternly.

"Tír ná nÓg is in danger. King Oísin and Queen Niamh suspect something upset or hurt the gods so they asked every being to contact their deities in a way. My mother and father tried and failed to contact you both but after we found out I was a Twin Tailed Wolf, they thought I would have better chances" Oiamh explained

"I see...I'm not sure what's going on with the kingdom but right now Apollo and I have our own issue to resolve. Our daughters: Crescida and Soli; are missing. They went down to explore the mortal world some years ago but never returned and we have been relentlessly searching for them" Artemis told Oiamh

"Would that we could help out more but our priority is finding our daughters" Apollo added

"What if....what if I were to find Lady Soli and Lady Crescida? Would you rethink lending aid then?" Oiamh asked

Apollo and Artemis looked at each other then back at Oiamh

"Very well. If you can find our daughters and bring them back here to the celestial palace within 6 lunar cycles we will pledge our aid to the wolf clans to help Tír ná nÓg" Apollo relied.

Oiamh nodded sternly then Apollo and Artemis left to go back to the realm of the deities.

After they had departed Oiamh was brought back to where she came from so that her spirit can return to her body

~~~~~Back in the real world and in Zero's POV~~~~~

I sat next to Oiamh's unconscious body for what felt like hours - and to be honest it was. 

Oiamh began the ritual 5 hours ago. I hope everything's alright...

I could hear moaning next to me so I looked and Oiamh began to open her eyes again.

"Zero?....." Oiamh called out

I leaned over as to help her sit up because she sounded exhausted

We just sat on the moon cliff as her body began to regain her physical strength

"What happened when you spoke with them? As I'm assuming you were able to make contact since you were unconscious for five hours" I asked

"They're aware of the issue but are in no present position to help. Their daughters are missing. So I made a deal; if we find their daughters within 6 lunar cycles and get both of them back to the Celestial Palace then Artemis and Apollo promised to lend their aid." Oiamh explained as she leaned against me.

"I see....how are you feeling though after going through all that? I'm surprised you were able to make contact but your parents weren't though" I asked

"I was able to as my powers are similar to Apollo....I'm a twin tailed wolf Zero....the twin tailed moon of the forest is my new mini-title that my parents gave me for the time being" Oiamh said

That caught me off guard but I still care for her none the less.

"You're secret is safe with me Oiamh. Now how about we get you home before your folks begin to worry and our elders spy us together" I stated which made Oiamh giggle but she wasn't able to stand up on her own

When I saw her stand up but then stumble  decided to carry her home.

"Rest Oiamh....you deserve it" I said to her then she slowly drifted back to sleep.

Once I got her home, Naomi took her from me whilst Trodaí spoke to me.....
