Chapter 20 - His Legacy (Pt.3)

(This is AFTER Oiamh is taken away by Zero - also apologies for the multi part arcs lately. They're just too long for one chapter and hey - I love cliff-hangers)

Naomi's POV

Zero took Oiamh to safety...but I fear for my husband's life.

Trodaí began to cough up blood with black blood showing in his veins. It's poison.

"Trodaí...you're arms.." I said to Trodaí with worry in my voice.

I looked up then saw the two women trying to flee then felt Trodaí grab my arm. The next minute we were in a clearing away from our clan. Time to fight them both

"I know....I don't have much time left....please....live on....for me. Please...." Trodaí said to me but he got weaker with every breath. He collapsed in my arms then I began to weep when I realised he was losing the fight for his life

"Trodaí please.....stay with me. I need you...Oiamh needs you" I said to him with tears rolling down my cheeks

"I love you....Naomi....my legacy....will....live on....with....Oiamh...as the...next...Luna" Trodaí said to me. The next minute, he was gone. Trodaí declared Oiamh the next ruler with his dying breath. Once he was gone the clover mark vanished from his cheek, it should appear on Oiamh's then since he declared her the next ruler

Rage and Sorrow filled within me. I was furious at these two for murdering my husband. I cast a spell on Oiamh to lock her in a temporary slumber until her wounds heal - now to kill these bitches

"YOU MONSTERS!" I screamed then felt the wrath of nature's magic well up within me

"Tch, you're all bark and no bite Naomi Wolf. You may be Tír ná nÓg's nature guardian but you're nothing without Trodaí Wolf. Technically now that he's dead, you're not even the supreme Luna Wolf of your clan" the pink haired girl said to me

"JUST WHO ARE YOU TWO MONSTERS?!" I demanded

"I'm Rose - this is my older sister Leyla. Daughters of the Demon King and queens of chaos" The pink haired girl I now know as Rose said to me. So the red-head is Leyla. And their father's blood must've been what they used to create the poison that killed Trodaí.

Ideally I can't take them on by myself but I have no choice

IVY OF THE SEVEN WONDERS COME TO ME!

The next moment, green ivy wrapped around me. Protecting me. Or so I thought. In the blink of an eye I fell to the ground in pure agony.

When I looked at my body, I had cuts and wounds all over

How did they do this much damage without me noticing?!

After a time I lost consciousness next to my husband's corpse.

~~~~~Flashback to when Naomi met Trodaí~~~~~

Naomi was a shy wolf but she had a few friends in her clan. One day she was leaving to pick flowers when she bumped into another wolf by accident.

"Gah! My apologies! I didn't see you there" she said to the wolf

"It's quite alright. I wasn't paying attention either to where I was going. My name is Trodaí Wolf. It's a pleasure to meet you ??" Trodaí said to Naomi

"Naomi Rose. Wait did you say Trodaí?" Naomi asked and he nodded. Naomi then bowed apologetically

"My most sincere apologies! I didn't recognise you as the alpha's son - way to go Naomi...." Trodaí just giggled when Naomi said that and she was understandably confused.

"You needn't worry. A lot of people don't recognise me as the alpha's son at first since I don't exactly look like him. I look more like my late grandfather. The previous Luna's husband." Trodaí said. At this time he was 17 and Naomi was 18 (yes she's a year older).

They began to develop a close bond over the next few months until one day he invited her family out for a picnic with his.

"Lord Trodaí it's a pleasure to meet the wolf our daughter became close friends with" Naomi's father said

"Likewise. Our son speaks the world about Naomi so we felt it right to meet the wonderful wolves who raised her" Trodaí's father stated. Naomi and Trodaí were so happy their parents got along so well.

"Naomi you may not know this but my father is stepping down as alpha when I turn 18. On that day I'll be the new alpha of the clan and I'll need a loving Luna by my side" Trodaí told her.

"Well I hope whoever you choose is a lucky girl to have you as her husband/partner" Naomi replied. She secretly hoped he would choose her because she loved him so much

"I want you to be my Luna, Naomi. Ever since we first met I fell in love with you. I want you by my side as I take on this role. Naomi Rose - will you be my Luna Wolf? Will you marry me?" Trodaí asked.

Naomi's face went bright red but she felt tears well up in her eyes. She got her wish.

"Yes. Yes of course I'll be your Luna wolf Trodaí" Naomi replied then shared a kiss with her friend now fiancé: Trodaí. Her Alpha Male.

~~~~~Back to the present with Naomi regaining consciousness~~~~~

I felt warm and at ease? Did I die next to my husband?

I began to open my eyes then saw Rowen next to me.

"Oh thank goodness you're awake Naomi. When Skyla brought you up here I was worried about you after seeing the extent of your injuries. Oiamh's here as well - Zero brought her up and we've healed her as best we can" Rowen explained then I sat up

"I see. As for Trodaí...." I stated

"We know. The clover on Oiamh is kind of obvious. I know his parents are alive still but he would only lose the mark at his age if he died. Naomi I'm so sorry for his death...you two were the best of friends at Oiamh's age" Rowen replied.

"Thanks Rowen..." I responded then spent the day recovering and resting some more.

Oiamh is the new Luna. And she'll need help but I want vengeance for my husband's death
