~Umbridge Takes Over~

Y/n Pov: 

" She did what?!" I said. I was walking around with Harry outside of the castle in the forest. It was a very tiring school year with all the attention Harry is getting which obviously gives him a lot of stress. " Yea I don't know how and I don't know if it's the paper or the quill..." Harry said looking at his hand. " Thats just wrong, she shouldn't be doing that..." I said. " Well it seems Slytherin's house loves her, except you of course." Harry said as we gotten deeper into the forest.

" Well whatever she does is nothing but cruel... She shouldn't be even teaching in Hogwarts." I said but stopped when we saw the dark, thin creepy horses that was pulling the carriage with a girl.

"Luna?" I called making the girl turn around revealing Luna Lovegood bear foot. " Hello Y/n, hello Harry Potter..." She said in her soft tone. "Your feet, aren't they cold?" Harry asked as we got closer to her. " A bit, unfortunately all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared. I suspect the nargles are behind it..." She said. 

"What are they?" Harry asked. "They're called thestrals. They're quiet gentle, really... people avoid them because they're a bit... different." Luna explains.

"But why can't the others see them?" I asked following them. " They can only be seen by people who've seen death." Luna said. " So... you've known someone who's died then?" Harry hesitantly asked. 

"My mum... She was quite an extraordinary witch, but she did like to experiment, and one day one of her spells went badly wrong. I was nine." Luna said. " I'm sorry to hear that..." I said. " Yes, it was rather horrible... I do feel very sad about it sometimes, but I've got a dad." Luna said. 

"We both believe you by the way, He-who-must-not-be-name is back and you fought him and the ministry conspiring against you and Dumbledore..." Luna said to Harry. " Thanks, seems your the other ones that do." Harry said. 

"I suppose that how he wants you to feel..." " What do you mean?" I asked her. " Well if I were you know who, I would want you to feel cut off from everyone else because if it's just you alone, your not much of a threat..." Luna said to both of us as she throws food for the thestrals.

It was the next day and It was breakfast time. " Draco can you tell me what is it? I need to know what my mom wants to tell me!" I said to Draco. " Love I personally think your mother must tell you, not me." Draco said enjoying teasing me but then we heard a voice in the distance.

" Pardon me, professor, but what exactly are you insinuating? Umbridge's voice echoed out of the Great Hall making everyone leave the Great Hall to see whats going on.

"I am merely requesting that when it comes to my students, you conform to the prescribed disciplinary practices." Professor Mcgonagoll said. "So silly of me, but it sounds as if you're questioning my authority in my classroom. Minerva." Umbridge argued. 

"Not at all. Delores. Merely your medieval methods." 

"I'm sorry dear, but to question my practices is to question the ministry, and extension, the Minister himself. I am a tolerant woman, but on thing I will not stand for is disloyalty." Umbridge said.

" Disloyalty?" McGonagoll said in shock. 

Then Umbridge then turned to all of the students watching. " Things at Hogwarts are far worse then I feared. Cornelius will want to take immediate action." 

-Time Skip-

The next few weeks at Hogwarts were bloody painful. Umbridge started added "Educational Decrees" daily. 

I then found myself, alone in the halls, students are not allowed to play around or chat together, students with a lover aren't allowed to be near each other. Uniforms must be wore perfectly which was annoying.

Outside of Umbridge's office was a wall of all the new " Educational Decrees" Flinch hangs up filling up the wall with rules and orders. 

As I was walking around I noticed many students were all rushing outside of the courtyard. I saw Draco near so I went straight to him. As I looked up I saw Professor Trelawney crying with her bags in her hand and on the floor. 

Umbridge then walks out heading towards Professor Trelawney. "16 years. I-i've lived and taught here... Hogwarts is my home... Y-you can't do this!" She said sobbing. 

"Actually I can." Umbridge said grinningly pulling out a piece of paper written by Cornelius.

Then I saw Professor McGonagoll rushing through the crowd and went over to Professor Trelawney holding her as she cry in her arms.

"Something you'd like to say dear?" Umbridge said smiling at Professor McGonagoll. " Oh, there are several things I would like to say!"McGonagoll snapped before the doors to the school opens revealing Dumbledore who didn't look pleased.

" Professor McGonagoll, my I ask you to escort Sybil back inside?" Dumbledore asked as Professor McGonagoll brings Trelawney inside leaving Umbridge and him. 

"Dumbledore, my I remind you that, under the terms of Educational Decree Number 23, as enacted by the Minister-" "You have the right to dismiss my teacher. You do not, however, have the authority to banish them from the grounds. That power remains with the headmaster." Dumbledore said cutting Umbridge off.

"For now..." She said making Dumbledore pause for a bit. 

"Don't you all have studying to do." He said making everyone rush back in the castle. I then was found by the trio again. 

"Y/n come with us to our dorms." Hermione said. " I can't remember Umbridge..." I said glancing back at her. " Doesn't matter just come." Harry said as they all huddle around me so I wouldn't be seen by anyone and headed to the Gryffindor's dorm which was thankfully empty.

"We're not learning how to defend ourselves. We're not learning how to pass our OWLs. She taking over the entire school." Hermione vented out to all of us as we listen to the radio which Harry turns it up.

"Furthermore, we have convincing evidence that these disappearances are the works of the notorious mass murderer Sirius Black." Fudge said through the radio. 

I then whipped my head towards the radio in shock. 

" Thats rubbish! That man just loves pointing the blame at random people." I said in total frustration. 

As we listen to it we heard someone calling Harry's name. We all got startled and walked over to where the sound was coming from which was the fireplace. "Sirius! What are you doing here?" Harry ask as I see my father's face as ashes outlines his face. 

"Hi there Darling." Sirius said to me making me wave awkwardly at the fire. " You said you were worried about Umbridge. Whats she doing? Trying you to kill halfbreeds?" Sirius ask throwing questions at us. "She's not not letting us use magic at all father..." I said. 

"Well I'm not surprised. The latest intelligence is that Fudge doesn't want you trained in combat." Sirius said. " Combat? What does he think, we're forming some sort of wizard army?" Ron said. 

"Thats exactly what he thinks. That Dumbledore is assembling his own forces to take on the Ministry.He's being more paranoid by the minute..." Sirius said. 

"The others wouldn't want me telling you this, Harry but things aren't going at all well with the Order. Fudge is blocking the truth at every turn, and these disappearances are just how started before. Voldemort is on the move." Sirius explained to us.

"Well, what can we do?" Harry asked before we heard a sound coming from Sirius' side. " Someones coming. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but for now at least it looks like you're on your own..." Sirius said as the fire then disappears making us all stand up.

"He really is out there, isn't he?" Hermione asked. "We've got to be able to defend ourselves. And if Umbridge refuses to teach us how... we need someone who will..." Hermione said.
