~Professor Slughorn~

Y/n Pov: 

I was at the Slytherin's table eating food with Pansy and Blaise flirting around so I look to my side to see if Draco notice but he didn't. All he was doing was playing with his food so I instantly knew something was up. "Draco are you okay?" I asked he didn't reply he just gave me a look of sadness. 

"Draco this will all be over... Your not the only one who got it, I'm also freaking out." I said whispering to him so no one will hear us. " I know... it's just too much stress." Draco finally spoke. " I know but we can get through this." I said but not with confidence. 

"Very best of evenings to you all." Dumbledore started speaking. " First off, let me introduce the newest member of our staff Horace Slughorn." Dumbledore said as all the students started clapping. 

"Professor Slughorn has agreed to resume his old post as Potions Master. Meanwhile the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts will be taken by Professor Snape." All the Slytherins and I started clapping and cheered for that news but I saw Draco still zoned out. 

"As you know each and every one of you was searched upon your arrival here tonight... and you have the right to know why. Once there was a young man like you who sat in this very hall, walked this castles corridors, step under this roof, he seemed to all the world a student like any other. His name... Tom Riddle." Dumbledore explained making everyone whispered once they heard Tom Riddle. 

"Today of course he's known all over the world by another name. Which is why I stand looking upon you all tonight, I'm reminded of a sobering fact, everyday, every hour, this very minute dark forces attempt to penetrate this castle's walls. In the end, that greatest weapon is you..." 

"There's something to think about... Now off to bed pit pit!" Dumbledore said as everyone started heading off to their house's dorms. As I got up I see Draco still in his own little world so I tapped his arm which startled him making him look up at me. 

" Love lets go to bed." I said pulling him up by his arm. "Did I miss anything?" Draco asked. "Missed Dumbledore's speech, but it's not that important." I said as we both walk back to our rooms. 

- Time Skip- 

I woke up early that day since I had class in the morning which was potions. I changed into my school uniform, I fixed my hair and got my bag and left to go to class. As I stepped out of my room I see Draco in the common room alone and wearing his clothes he wore yesterday. 

I walked over to him and started tapping his shoulder lightly. "Draco, wake up..." I said making him groan and looked at me. "What time is it?" Draco asked looking at me head to toe seeing me in my uniform. "Well we got class in a few minutes, so I recommend you change now." I said as Draco gets up and heads to his room. "I'll meet you in class just go, I love you." Draco said. "I love you too." I said then left the common room to potions class.

"Good morning students, I'm Professor Slughorn I'll be your potions professor for your 6th year!" Slughorn said smiling at all of us. I was obviously exited since Potions class is my favorite and I'm very good at it. 

"Now, attention to detail in the preparation is the prerequisite of all plannings-" Professor Slughorn stopped when he heard footsteps behind him which was from Harry and Ron who entered the class room. " Ah! Harry, my boy. I was beginning to worry. You brought someone with us, I see!" Slughorn said to the two boys. 

"Ron Weasley sir..." Harry said introducing Ron who began to speak."But I'm dead awful at Potions, A menace actually so. I'm probably just gonna-" "Nonsense! We'll sort you out. Any friend of Harry's is a friend of mine." Slughorn chuckled interrupting Ron. 

"Get your books out." He said to Harry and Ron. " Uh sorry sir, I haven't actually go my book yet. And nor has Ron..." Harry said. "Don't worry, get what you want from the cupboard." He said as Ron and Harry started walking over to get their books. 

"Now, as I was saying. I prepared some concoctions this morning. Any Ideas what these might be?" Slughorn asked the class but no one except Hermione and I raised our hand. 

"Oh I see hehe, umm lets start with you Ms. Black." Professor Slughorn said making me step forward. " That one there is a Veritaserum... It's a truth-telling serum." I said. "Very good Ms. Black I expect good things coming from you... And you Ms. Granger." Slughorn said as Hermione steps forward. 

"This is Amortentia. The most powerful love potion in the world. It's rumored to smell differently to each person, according to what attracts them... For example I smell.. freshly mown grass and new parchment and... spearmint toothpaste." Hermione said before backing away. 

"How about you Ms. Black what do you smell?" Professor Slughorn asked making me step forward again. "I smell.. Green apple... Very expensive perfume..." I said before backing away, luckily no one knew who I was smelling except Draco who smirked at me. 

"Now, Amortenia doesn't create actual love. That would be impossible. But it does cause powerful infatuation or obsession." Slughorn was explaining to the class but slowly I saw a group of girls trying to smell their person their attracted to. 

" And for that reason it is probably the most dangerous potion in this room." Professor Slughorn explained and noticed the girls so he quickly closes the bottle making the girls back up flustered. 

"Umm sir you haven't told us about that one." A girl from Gryffindor asked. "Ah yes. What you see before you, ladies and gentlemen. Is a curious little potion known as Felix Felicis. It is more commonly referred to as Liquid Luck." Professor Slughorn said. 

"Desperately tricky to make, disastrous should you get it wrong. One sip and you will find that all of your endeavors succeed. At least, until the effects wears off... So, this is what I offer each of you today. One tiny vial of Liquid Luck to the student who in the hour that remains, manages to brew an acceptable Draught of Living Death.... Recipes for which can be found on page 10 of your books." Professor Slughorn said making everyone start flipping through the pages. 

" I should point out, however. Only one student who manages to brew a potion of sufficient quality to claim this prize. Nevertheless, good luck to you all. Let the brewing commence." Slughorn said as students started going to their brewing station.

I knew instantly I'm getting that Liquid Luck, not a problem. 

First it says to cut up a Sopophorus bean. "Easy enough." I said to myself as I started trying to cut the bean it kept on bouncing everywhere. "Draco how are you doing?" I asked looking at him. "This bloody bean won't stop moving." He said frustrated. 

As I was trying to cut the bean Goyle's bean flew out of place almost hitting Professor Slughorn who caught it on time. 

Took me awhile to finally cut the bloody bean and I placed it in the cauldron. As I continued to brew the potion the more frustrating it got so I rolled up my sleeves and tied my hair in a messy bun to get my hair out of the way. 

As I was brewing the potion it started getting thicker which made it impossible to mix it.

After one hour Professor Slughorn started looking at everyone's potion and see if they got it right and went to mine. "My, my Ms. Black why is yours so thick and dark?" He asked as he turns over at me and saw that I was just a mess. "I just followed the instructions...Sir..." I said with a pissed off look. 

"Love relax." Draco said rubbing my back as he knew how I'd go crazy if I fail a class especially potions one of my best class. "Don't worry Ms. Black I've seen your grades and I know you have a bright future ahead of you." He said making me relax a bit.

After he examines the others potions he went to Harry's station. "Merlin's beard! It's perfect!" Slugorn said making me turn my head to Harry's direction in pure shock. Harry then turned to me an smirk at me making me glare at him. 

"So here we are then, as promised. One vial of Felix Felicis. Congratulations. Use it well." Professor Slughorn said before clapping for Harry making the rest clap but also glared at him, as the Slytherins and I didn't clap at all but just stared at Harry. 

This is bullshit...
