Tip didn't understand why sorcerers were illegal in the SMP. Their power was incredible. "Maybe some sorcerers didn't use their power for good and that is why they were banned," She thought, "but that doesn't make every single one bad. Drista was just a little girl. She didn't deserve to die."
Tip trailed behind Dream and Ranboo in the forest lost in thought. Dream was glancing around the thin aspens looking for Wilbur. Tip watched the snow kick up from the new layer of snow that fell from last night. It was poweredy like sugar so she couldn't even make another snowball.
"About time you showed up, Dream." Said a familiar British accent behind Tip. She spun around. Wilbur was standing quite close to her. So close he could grab her if he wanted to but he kept his hands behind his back. There was no way he could have just walked up to her without her hearing him. She remembered Ranboo saying he had disappeared. "What if he is a sorcerer?" She thought.
Dream put himself between her and Wilbur and outstanded an arm to usher her further behind him protectively. Dream's axe was pointed at Wilbur who only smirked. Ranboo had his crossbow locked and loaded at Wilbur to release it's arrow if needed.
"Relax Dream. I'm here to surrender. I've had my fun." Wilbur held his hands up in surrender. Dream didn't move. This had to be some trick.
"Where is the crown?" Dream asked coldly.
Wilbur rolled his eyes, "If you need to know so badly..." Wilbur laid his hand out and the crown appeared out of thin air and landed in his hand.
"Y- your a sorcerer?" Dream asked, stunned.
Wilbur grinned, "I am. During your disappearance, Niki and I discovered my abilities. I was so happy but as I began to think about it and I realized this would help me in the long run so I erased Niki's memories of me being a sorcerer so no one could ever find out what I was."
Tip gasped, "That is horrible! You shouldn't mess with peoples' minds!" Wilbur made the crown disappear into a pop of purple dust.
"I did. Having this much power is a godsend." Wilbur laughed, "With this much power I discovered new things about sorcerers. Things that mortals would never know. For one, sorcery never skips a generation." Wilbur watched Dream, waiting for that info to sink in.
"Never skip a generation?" Tip asked.
Wilbur groaned with annoyance, "Dream. If your sister had magic then so do you. It never skips a generation." Wilbur watched Dream hesitate, "Oh and your sister is still alive."
"Don't you dare." Dream warned. His voice was so threatening that it even caused a hint of fear to spread across Wilbur's face.
"I'm serious, Dream. All games aside, she is still alive. I can even show you where she has been hiding." Wilbur shuffled away from Dream's axe.
"I said enough." Dream growled. Wilbur hesitated. Even he had not seen this side of Dream and now he wasn't so sure Dream wouldn't kill him.
"I'll show you what I know about her." Wilbur said a lot more calmly now that his life was on the line.
"How do we know that it's not a trap?" Dream asked with a glare.
Wilbur put one of his raised hands over his heart, "I swear on my life that I'm not lying. If it is a trick you can take me to the kingdom and I will confess that I stole the crown."
"You are a sorcerer. You can easily escape." Tip pointed out.
"That is true my dear, but sorcerers have been catching other sorcerers for millennia and are the only ones that can truly keep another sorcerer under bay. Dream here is one." Wilbur smirked.
"I've never had magic. Quit lying Wilbur." Dream snapped.
"I'm not, Dream. Let me show you. May I?" Wilbur asked, extending his hand out to Dream. Dream didn't react. Tip placed a gentle hand on Dream's shoulder. Dream lowered his axe but kept it clutched in his hand. Ranboo had also lowered his crossbow and slung it over his back. "Hand, Dream." Wilbur ordered. Dream took a glance at Tip who gave him a reassuring nod.
There was something going on between the two Wilbur had noticed. Dream extended his hand out to Wilbur. Wilbur sweeped his hand in an upward motion and a small gray pebble popped out of the snow between his feet and landed in the palm of his hand. Wilbur put the pebble in Dream's hand, "Focus on it and make it float a few centimeters. A simple task that I'm sure you can handle."
Dream imagined the pebble floating off of his hand. Nothing happened. "This is stupid. You're probably lying." Dream said.
"Dream. I'm not lying. I am a sorcerer so the only way to catch me is with another sorcerer and I don't think that old man will help you with that. I am giving you the only way to get your name cleared." Wilbur said.
"This is some kind of trick. Why in the hell would you want me to catch you?" Dream asked, his eyes narrowing.
"Dream," Wilbur sighed, "Why do you have to make everything complicated? Look, I will keep my end of the bargain. I will take you to Drista but you have to be a sorcerer to find her so only I can show you where she is. If you don't trust me then try and kill me and never see her again and never learn the power you have. You have the upper hand here but it is your choice." Wilbur crossed his arms. He knew he avoided Dream's question but he knew how to get his protege to do what he wanted- for the most part. He had to out think the thinker. No easy task.
Dream was silent as he looked between Wilbur and the pebble. "Dream," Tip said to get his attention. He looked her way, "It's worth a try. Besides, he said he would confess to my father if he is lying."
Dream nodded and looked back at the pebble. Something tingled down his arm to the very tip of his fingers. He saw the pebble but in a completely new way. He felt all of the substances that made up the small stone. All the molecules that made up it's density. His will made the density disappear and then the pebble vibrated before lifting off of his palm. "What the-?!" He shrieked. He pulled his hand away and the pebble fell back into the snow. "What did you do?" Dream snapped at Wilbur.
"I did nothing. That was all you." Wilbur smirked.
"Dream! You're a sorcerer!" Tip said excitedly.
"Now do you trust me?" Wilbur asked.
"No." Both Dream and Tip said at the same time.
"Sheesh. All right." Wilbur raised his hands up in surrender. "We should reach Drista's place tomorrow. I say we should make camp in the clearing up ahead." He said.
"Who made you in charge?" Tip asked harshly.
"Well I am showing you where Drista is so we will get to here how I want to, princess." Wilbur grinned.
"Let's just follow for now. If he is just messing with us I'll make sure I get that crown back." Dream whispered to Tip. She sighed and nodded. The three followed Wilbur to the campsite he wanted.
