It was getting late and the sun was going down. Dream was glad he got to catch up with everyone after disappearing for so long. It had been raining most of the day, keeping everyone inside. Nihachu had made a delicious dinner with Tip.

"Who knew a princess could cook?" Dream teased her while they were cleaning the dishes.

She rolled her eyes with a smile, "You'd be surprised what I can do." Dream liked her new look. It seemed to fit her better than a dress and 15 pounds of makeup. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your scar?" She asked, rinsing off a plate and then looking up at him sto study his scar again. Dream sighed. She would've asked eventually. "You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable." She said quickly from hearing his sigh.

"No. It's fine. I guess you should know." He assured, "I got it when I was 14 I believe. I was trying to steal food. I was caught by the guards and well they tried to kill me. I only escaped with the scar."

"Is that why you wear the mask?" She asked. He was surprised she didn't say she was sorry. He wouldn't admit it to anyone but he hated it when people would say that they were sorry like it did something to make him feel better. It didn't.

He nodded, "Let's just say, it wasn't one of my pouder moments and now I have to live with it." She nodded and went back to drying the plate, thinking. Could she fix this mess that her father and past kings had ruined? She hated that people like Dream were suffering just because the royals wanted more riches and power and would kill anyone who go in their way.

Hundreds of thousands of people were suffering from illnesses and starvation all because the rich couldn't share a little bit of their money. It caused people like Dream to put their life on the line to try and help them. She didn't want to rule over the land knowing that she can prevent her people from losing their lives.

Once they were finished with the dishes Dream dried off his hands before throwing the rag in Tip's face. She caught it as it fell from her face and Dream burst out laughing.

"You jerk!" She laughed and threw it back at him.

"What are you gonna do princess?" He challenged, playfully.

"You'll see." She taunted completely catching him off guard. She stuck her tongue out at him and then went into the living room where everyone was sitting. Dream followed her out, setting the rag on the counter.

Tommy and Tubbo were passed out on a small sofa, snoring softly with Tommy leaning on Tubbo's shoulder. Purpled was close to falling asleep as well. He was on a chair with his knees pulled up to his chin and his arms wrapped around his knees. His eyes were half closed and listening to the adult's conversation. Tip sat down on one of the couches with her back leaning against the armrest and putting her feet on the cushion and Dream sat down on the other side.

"We can poke around the details about the crown heist tomorrow. I can ask some buddies to see if they heard anything." Wilbur said.

"I'm honestly shocked someone would try something this big and then frame Dream. They must really not like you." Nihachu said, looking at Dream.

"Well they won't get away with it." Dream assured them.

They all nodded. "Well, I'm off to bed." Wilbur sighed, standing and stretching.

"Me too." Nihachu said. She stood up and grabbed a couple of blankets draping one over the boys and then one over Tip who was sleeping soundlessly on the armrest.

Wilbur and Nihachu went upstairs along with Punz who would claim the guest room as Tommy and Tubbo were sleeping downstairs.

Ranboo was the only one who wasn't in the house. Dream remembered him leaving to go outside after talking to Tip in Endermen. Dream thought he would take a breath outside and he slipped out the back door.

The night air was crisp and his breath condensed as he breathed out. The ground was damp from off and on raining throughout the day. The clouds were rolling away, exposing the twinkling stars.

Dream took a deep breath. He had to be careful when trying to out-smart Technoblade. He was going to have to stay three steps ahead if he wanted to stay alive. He was sure Technoblade would kill him on sight. Dream walked down one of the empty alleys, thinking.

There was the pitter patter of light footsteps behind him. Dream spun around to face whoever was trying to sneak up on him but there was nothing except a scruffy cat that hissed at him before darting away.

Dream calmed his heart down from the quick adrenaline that just shot through his veins. Someone then grabbed him from behind and tried to hold a white cloth to his nose and mouth. After getting a quick whiff of chloroform he held his breath while he wrestled with his captor.

He shoved an elbow forcefully into his captor's gut who let out a pained breath and loosened his tight grip on Dream allowing him to break free. Dream faced the person who had grabbed him recognizing the hooded figure of BadBoyHalo. Bad was clutching his stomach where Dream had elbowed him to escape.

Bad was holding the white cloth with the chloroform and a round compass that pointed his direction. Dream looked around for the other two so he could escape easily without the hassle of them. "Guys! He is here but he is about to escape!" Bad said.

"I got him!" Dream heard the familiar British accent. George appeared behind him with a shiny sword clutched in his hands from the darkness. Dream had left his axe at Wilbur's place so he was severely out matched.

Both George and Bad were blocking the exits so the only way-- Dream decided-- was up. There were rickety wooden fire escapes on the sides of the buildings. He looked for a way up and found an old ladder above a crate. Dream didn't hesitate to jump onto the crate and grab the ladder. The rotting wood of the ladder started to crack under his weight.

"He's climbing up!" Bad shouted, shocked he was escaping so easily.

He pulled himself up to the wooden platform right as the ladder gave way, not allowing the other two to follow. He pulled himself onto the next fire escape that was cracking under his shoes. He made it to the roof, panting slightly. He looked down at Bad and George who were arguing with each other.

A cold blade of an axe was suddenly pressed to his neck causing him to freeze. "Y'know, runnin' from the palace isn't a very smart idea." Technoblade growled behind Dream with an evil smirk. Dream's hands gripped the hilt of the axe, trying to push it away from his neck as Technoblade pushed it closer so the edge was digging into his skin keeping Dream from using his hands to get away.

Technoblade pressed Dream's back up against his chest so he could hold him still and kept Dream unbalanced so he couldn't kick Technoblade's legs and escape. He couldn't move with the position Technobalde had him in or it would end his life.

He brought up another cloth and held it to Dream's nose and mouth. Dream tried to hold his breath but he couldn't hold it forever. He would either pass out from the chloroform or from lack of oxygen. He tried to wiggle away from the cloth without slicing his neck open on the axe but Technoblade's grip was too tight. Soon his body made him breath in the sweet smelling chemical.
