Seonwoo wakes up in the middle of the night, feeling strange.
He goes straight to Riki's room but he found it empty.
“Riki?” he called out.
Seonwoo opened the light on the living room, then he proceeded to the kitchen.
Relief washed over him when he sees Riki standing before the close fridge, sipping on his glass of milkshake.
“I thought you already left,” Seonwoo speaks, walking over to him.
Riki was once again on his usual boring black tuxedo. The gun probably hidden underneath his coat, and Seonwoo can clearly see the flashes of worries in his eyes.
“Are you nervous?” Seonwoo asked.
Riki quickly shook his head in denial.
“What's there to be nervous about? I'm a professional,” Riki boasted, placing his empty glass on the table.
Seonwoo just watch closely, knowing all too well about Riki's lie.
How come he didn't notice this before? On their first month of living together? He knew Riki leaves on midnights, and be back before he could wake up. He didn't really put so much thought about it, he didn't even realize how risky Riki's job is.
He was not just a normal programmer, nor a driver, nor a bodyguard. He complete dangerous missions, his life is always on the line. And still, Riki's trying to live a normal life.
“I'm leaving,” Riki said, glancing at Seonwoo for the last moment.
Seonwoo nodded his head as Riki started walking away.
“Riki,” Seonwoo speaks, walking after him on the living room.
Riki opened the door, before he looked back and waited for Seonwoo's next words.
“Keep safe and come back home.”
Riki breaks into a smile, but he didn't responds back, not even a nod of acknowledgement. He then proceeded to walk out and close the door behind.
The smile on his lips faded.
He can't always promise to be safe, not after witnessing Hanbin's death.
