Sunghoon smiled when he sees Jake waiting outside the chairman's hospital room. He walked towards him and gave the man a side hug.

“How's Jungwon?” Jake asked.

“He's calmed down, he's staying with Riki and Seonwoo right now,” Sunghoon answered, looking at Jake's tired eyes. “You should go home and take a rest, I'll take charge here.”

Jake only nodded his head.

Sunghoon gave the man another smile before entering the chairman's room.

Jay was sitting on his bed, typing on a laptop.

“You should not work right after your surgery,” Sunghoon speaks, sitting on a chair beside the chairman's bed.

The chairman gave him a side glance before adjusting his eyeglass.

“Why did you call me here? Need something? My love?” Sunghoon teases.

The chairman still haven't smiled, the seriousness in his face remained as he continued typing. Sunghoon finally clears his throat as he read how serious the atmosphere was.

“What is it?” Sunghoon asked.

“Riki,” Jay speaks, finally closing the laptop in front of him as he look at his half-brother.

Sunghoon raises his eyebrows.

“Riki wants you to accompany him with his future missions. He said you're getting too close with Seonwoo and it's getting really inappropriate.”

Sunghoon closed his fists.

“We're friends. Me and Seonwoo,” Sunghoon speaks with gritted teeth.

The chairman nodded, “So, you're going with Riki on his future missions.”

Sunghoon let out a laugh.

“Remember three years ago? When I asked you the same favor and you told me you trust Heeseung? You trust Jake?” Sunghoon asked, voice getting a little high.

“Sunghoon that's wa—”

“Do you not trust me?” Sunghoon asked, cutting off the chairman's voice.

Jay remained silent, Sunghoon could only laugh at the obvious answer. His own brother doesn't trust him.

“Why? Because I was born out of wedluck? Do you think I will do what our father did?” Sunghoon laughs again.

The tears in his eyes rolled down in his cheeks.

“Mhm,” Sunghoon nods, wiping the tears away. “Well, Seonwoo and I are just friends. If none of you believe in that, I don't care anymore. And no, I'm not going with Riki on missions. I'll hang out at A-HO whenever I want.”

He stood up and walked out the suffocating room, not looking back even though Jay called his name a few times.

“Sunghoon.”

Sunghoon stopped when he heard Jake calling him from behind. The man then run to his side, intertwining his fingers with his own.

“Jake,” Sunghoon called, voice weak. “Do you not trust me as well?”

Sunghoon looked at the boy's eyes.

Jake smiled, giving his hand a little squeeze, “I trust you.”

Those words were enough to sent Sunghoon into a crying mess. He collapsed in Jake's arms as he let the tears out of his eyes. All this time, Jake was the only person taking his side.

“Just like how you trusted me three years ago, I trust you, Sunghoon.”
