“He graduated with a high honor, competed in three math division contests and won first place. He was also a taekwondo player but he had to stop because of financial unstability. Out of everything, Yang Jungwon is very hard-working,” Seonwoo explains.
The chairman nodded his head.
“I'm...done,” Seonwoo frowned, “Are you even listening?”
“No,” the chairman answered honestly, “I was booking a restaurant for my date later. Any suggestion on what arrangement of flowers should I give her? The florist gave me three choice—”
“Give her just roses, she's just gonna give it back to you anyways,” Seonwoo snapped. “Now, did Jungwon satisfies what you're looking for a secretary?”
“Mhm,” the chairman nodded. “That's why I'm making you choose which arrangement do you want, cause you'll end up taking it home anyways.”
“Don't even bother cause I can buy him one,” Riki speaks from behind them.
“Yah!” Seonwoo shouts.
The chairman has been purposely dismissing the topic about Jungwon and Seonwoo's already annoyed. Jungwon is his last chance to be with Riki.
The chairman laughs.
“Seonwoo, I didn't hire you because of your academic background. Someone recommended you to me,” the chairman speaks.
Seonwoo looked at Mr. Park confusely.
“And I'm asking you to recommend me a person I could trust. You already know what's going on behind this business, the risk and the doers. I want you to find someone who could be trusted with all of these,” Mr. Park continued speaking.
“Put yourself in my shoes and think of a person who you could trust of all of this illegal doings. Someone who could not stab you in a middle of a crisis, someone—”
“Like you,” Riki finishes the chairman's words. “He wants you to find someone like you.”
The chairman nodded.
“Okay, if you trust this Jungwon so much, I'll take him. However, if I see any red flags, I'll fire him out,” the chairman decided.
“I...” Seonwoo looks down, “Can I talk to him about it first? I haven't seen him for almost a year.”

Seonwoo watched closely as Riki opened a file of Yang Jungwon's record.
He's still working on that Call Center Agency, with the same amount of salary.
He met Jungwon when he worked as a part time on that same Agency. Their schedules of working hours are always on the same time. Like Seonwoo, Jungwon is an orphan as well.
Jungwon's surviving alone in this world since he's fifteen. The fact that he finished college while working part times amuses Seonwoo. He was one hard working person, but this life doesn't acknowledge his worth.
He couldn't help but pity the boy.
“It's his contact number,” Riki speaks, highlighting a phone number on the screen.
He may not fully know Jungwon, but he's sure he'd pass the chairman's judging skills.
“Is he your friend?” Riki asked, staring at the man's face on the screen.
Seonwoo nodded, “We're friends for like, a year before Mr. Park hired me.”
He did have friends...after me, Riki thought.
