Seonwoo was sure they slept side by side last night.
After all the drama and confessions, both of them lied down on his bed and slept together.
“Is Riki on mission again?” Seonwoo asked as soon as he sees Sunghoon on the driver seat.
“No,” Sunghoon replied.
When Riki was away and Seonwoo was worrying himself, Sunghoon was there to give him assurance. He would be the person delivering Seonwoo's lunch and driving him to work every morning.
Those time made Seonwoo realize that Sunghoon isn't really a terrifying person. He also have soft and caring side, just like the chairman.
“Where is he, then?” Seonwoo curiously asked.
Sunghoon looked at him for a second before fixing his eyes back on the road.
“It's his parent's death anniversary yesterday, but he's celebrating it every 24th of June, I don't know why.”
“That's kind of personal, how do you know?” Seonwoo asked again, confuse.
Sunghoon let out a small laugh.
“It doesn't seem like it, but we all grew up together. When I say we, I mean myself, Riki, Jay, Heeseung-hyung and Jake.”
Seonwoo stared amused at the driver.
“Really?" He asked.
“Mhm, I'm actually Jay's half brother,” Sunghoon smiled.
“Now, that's definitely a joke. Mr. Park is an only son,” Seonwoo rolled his eyes.
Sunghoon only shrugged.
“Anyways, will Rik—”
“Yes, Riki will be back home before seven,” Sunghoon cuts him off, answering his question.
Seonwoo raises his brows.
Sunghoon laughs again, he definitely knew something.
Seonwoo remained silent until they reached the company. He was not in the mood.
“Seonwoo,” Sunghoon speaks before Seonwoo could step out the car, “Happy birthday.”

Riki sat on a swing, staring at the empty playground in front of him.
18 years ago, when he was five years old, Riki made a promise to someone.
He used to play here every afternoon with someone. Riki's parents have decided to go in a vacation and Riki have to leave the boy for two weeks. He promised him he will be back by June 23, and they will meet at June 24 on that same exact swing spot.
However, when they were almost home, the car they were riding in was ambushed. His parents died and Riki only survived. It was the night he developed his sensitive hearing trauma.
The gunshots, the frictions of the wheels, and countless gunshot stayed in his mind. He was comatosed for months in the hospital and when he wake up, Jay's parents adopted him.
It took Riki a year to finally adjust and realize the truth that his parents passed away. It took Riki a year to move on and heal from his trauma. Until June 23rd came and Riki remembers his friend.
He asked for Jay's Dad to drive him back on the playground, but Riki didn't see him anymore.
He promised he'll wait here...
Riki would go back every afternoon, until he can't anymore. At least, Riki would be there at June 24th every year, hoping he could still see his friend.
A beep of his phone woke Riki up on his trance. He blinked and fished his phone out of his pocket.
It's a code sent by Sunghoon.
Riki narrowed his eyes, codes are too easy for him, psh. Riki looked at the time—shit. It's almost seven!

Seonwoo looked back at the clock on the wall. One minute before sev—he heared the door opening.
“Almost!” Riki whisper-shouted while closing the door.
He then faced Seonwoo who was waiting for him on the living room.
“Knew you'd be waiting,” Riki shook his head. “I almost come late. Psh, I told Sunghoon-hyung to tell you I'll be home by eight, what a traitor.”
Seonwoo glared at him.
“I...” Riki says, nervous.
It's Sunghoon's fault. If he did not shorten the time by one hour, Riki could've booked a dinner to celebrate Seonwoo's birthday.
Or at least Sunghoon should've told him earlier that the time got cut to seven, Riki could've at least bought flowers.
But it seemed like Sunghoon did this intentionally for fun. Fuck him.
“Happy birthday,” Riki forced a smile on his lips. He doesn't even have a present to give.
Seonwoo finally smiles.
“At least you remember,” Seonwoo says, “Mr. Park is already looking for us, he organized a dinner to celebrate my birthday. Get ready.”
Riki blinked.
“You're not mad?”
“I am,” Seonwoo smiles, “I just don't want to ruin my mood.”
