Lucy's POV
Bucky came to check on me last night after I left the room slightly crying. I read a book before falling asleep to clear my mind but that did not stop the nightmares so here I am at 4:24 in the morning awake and heading into the kitchen to get some food. My room is in between Nat's and Wanda's and from what I heard Yelena's is next to Nat's, so two doors down from mine.
Once I arrive in the kitchen I See Yelena sitting at the table with a beer? I just go and get a drink along with a cereal bar and continue gently humming, I have my headphone on and music playing but its not too loud that I can't hear anything. "Hello Lucy Parker" Yelena says, I looks at her puzzled at the use of my full name.
"Did you use my full name to show you know it?" I ask her, She nods slowly and I laugh slightly at this. Yelena nods proud of herself.
"I'm sorry about yesterday" Yelena says which I nod indicating I accept the apology "wait why are you up at this time?" Yelena adds
"I could ask you the same question" I say trying to self elect the question not wanting to answer it. Yelena looks at me sternly making me groan knowing that she wants me to answer "Nightmares" I mumble "reliving past trauma" I add because I know some children get nightmares that might be seen as dumb or unrealistic even though they still deeply scare the child, I wanted to show Yelena that my nightmares are not something to just go back to sleep afterwards as the solution.
"Ah, I get them too sometimes but not very frequently anymore" Yelena says, I smile in response pleased that she understands. I use my powers to take the liquid out of the tap and I turn it into some ice cubes which I then add to my glass of water. Yelena looks shocked I forgot that she hasn't really seen my powers.
"Do you want to spar?" I ask randomly, I wanted to train for a bit and Yelena is a trained assassin so sparing with her would be fun. She smiles and nods enthusiastically. She is more childish than me and is probably over ten years older. I laugh at the thought. She looks at me puzzled "I am going to change, I am assuming you might have to do the same" I say as I leave the room to change. Yelena follows me and we both enter our rooms. I put on some exercise clothes and running shoes and leave the room to wait for Yelena who only takes another minute and we both head to the training room.
"Let's do a small warm up and then we can spar" Yelena says I nod and once we finished warming up we both go to the place where the other avengers spar and I hear Yelena mutter in Russian "Ты должен победить тринадцатилетнего, ты можешь это сделать, ты можешь это сделать" (You have to beat the thirteen year old, you can do it, you can do it) this makes me chuckle, Yelena obviously wasn't warned I know Russian.
"Нет, ты не можешь, нет, не можешь. Этот тринадцатилетний ребенок бьет тебя в задницу" (No you can't, no you can't. This thirteen year old is out to beat your ass) I reply smiling. Yelena looks at me very surprised.
"You know Russian?" She asks, I nod as We get ready to fight.
"I know Russian, French, English, Spanish and German I also know a bit of Latin" I tell Yelena, I smile rembering I told Tony this only a few weeks ago.
"That's a fair few. Go" Yelena says as she swiftly goes to attack me, I grab her leg as she kicks me and push it causing her to fall to the floor.
"Can I use my powers?" I ask Yelena shakes her head indicating I can not. I nod and we resume fighting. We did many rounds and I won 31 and Yelena won 16, after 47 matched we decided to take a small break and then we would resume.
Natasha's POV
I wake up to find all of the Avengers already in the kitchen which surprises me, they are all eating which does not surprise me. I cant spot Yelena or Lucy and I know that Lucy is normally the first awake. "Hey has anyone noticed Yelena or Lucy?" I ask, everyone shakes their head so I go up to Lucy's room and knock on her door, no response. I push the door open slightly and find no one so I go back to the rest of the avengers knowing Yelena will not like her peace disturbed if she is asleep. "Lucy is not in her room" I state.
