Her name's Bianca, she dresses like a runway model and she's got the best hair out of anyone I've ever known.
Except maybe Zane but that's a different topic.
She's my role model now and I shall live my life copying what she does to become cooler.
It's that simple.
And don't even get me started on her voice and the way it holds authority in every single word.
"He specifically told us to not take any coffee or Icee stops. What're you doing?" Rina asks when I stop the car near my favourite Icee shop.
"A few minutes won't hurt"
I run inside the shop and quickly place my order. I order two Icees, a blue and a red one. Blue for me and red for Rina since she loves that flavour.
As I'm waiting, I sense someone come up beside me and lean on the counter.
He places his order and turns to me. I don't look at his face, but I can tell even from the corner of my eye that he has bright ginger hair.
Imma call him gingerbread man.
"Hey" his voice is deep and silky. No, seriously. If silk had a sound, this would be it.
"Hello" I finally turn towards him and my first thought is Freckles.
They're scattered all across his face. Most of them are on his nose and cheeks, but some are spread over his temples and his neck, too.
"Counting my freckles?" He smiles warmly. I shake my head.
"They're cute"
"I don't like them" he brushes his fingers across the skin of his throat and shrugs.
"Never have" he leans back on the counter.
"You should. I've wanted freckles all my life" I touch my cheeks knowing that no freckles are magically gonna appear. My order gets placed on the counter and I pick up both Icees, one in each hand, and head for the exit.
"Can I get a name?" He asks from behind me. I turn around and smile.
"Astraea"
