The tale of Elias Aleksander finally comes to an end.
They say it was a heart attack, i say that it was the consequences of his actions.
No one went to his funeral, except for his guards, and a few close associates. Zane locked himself up for the entire day.
He didn't come out until I practically begged him to. Even then, he just pulled me inside the room and laid in my lap, telling me the stories of his childhood, and of his mother.
He says that she would've loved me.
Finally, after an entire day of isolation, he finally stepped out at night. Everyone was ecstatic. Bianca hugged him, and told him that it was okay. Roxy patted his shoulder and gave him a thumbs up. Royce bought him bourbon. ACE had fallen apart completely, and now, we had nothing to worry about.
It's safe to say that the day was all about him. He brushed off everyone concerns, but I knew how much it meant to him. These people were his family, just as much as they were mine.
Felix told him to go fuck himself.
Typical.
I remember that we played board games all night, and almost every single round was won by either Bianca, Roxy or Zane.
Royce, Felix and I plotted a plan and won a single round each by cheating. They found out soon enough, and we were kicked out of the game.
When we went outside for a walk, Royce smiled at the sky and spoke. "He's gone. Zane is finally free" I nodded and tightly wrapped my arms around myself.
"I'm gonna get a pay raise" Felix tucked him hands into his pockets. I laughed until I couldn't remember my own name.
Eventually, however, we were called inside and they let us win. It was fun.
Felix proposed to Rina that night, in front of everyone.
I was so happy that I broke Zane's $5000 vase.
He still loves me.
She said yes, and we had a party the next day. It was an amazing one for sure. One of the best ones ETF has ever held. There was so much alcohol, but even better, there was a giant chocolate fountain.
Rina and I kept dipping strawberries in the chocolate until my stomach died and I threw up in the bathroom. Zane was there to hold my hair back.
When I went outside for some air, I realised Bianca was still outside. "Penny for your thoughts?" I asked when she looked at me. She shook her head.
"It's...nothing. Just the fact that so much has changed" She looked at me. "All thanks to you" "Me? I didn't do anything"
"Oh, you did more than I could ever thank you for. You made him human. You gave him a chance at happiness. You introduced Felix to his Fiance, and for me?" She smiled. "You made me realise that being a bitch all the time isn't as cool as I thought"
