That's what the letter says. No hello, no goodbye, just three words that succeed in giving me a little heart attack.
I found it outside my apartment door.
Half of me is sure that it's from Zane's dad. The other half of me wonders why he wants me to get away from his son.
Should I tell him about this?
The letter is short, and it's probably unnecessary. So, I decide to text him instead. If you thought I had the ability to hide things, you were very wrong.
Me: Zaney.
Zane💚: The fuck is that?
Me: That's not what I'm here to talk about. I need you to know something.
Zane💚: What?
Me: I found another letter :/
Zane💚: From Elias?
Me: Mhm.
Zane💚: What does it say?
Me: I warned you.
Zane💚: Do me a favour and get your ass over here as fast as you can.

I sling the bag over my shoulder and scurry out the door, locking it. Rina has a spare key. She's on a little date with Felix, if you're wondering. I mean, not a date, they're still getting to know each other. But still, Felix got what he wanted. And I'm fairly sure so did Rina.
I run to catch the bus, almost slamming into a guy on the sidewalk, and somehow jump in. Just then, my phone rings.
I struggle to get it out of my pocket but finally have it in my hands. The caller ID flashes mom's name and I pick it up without any thoughts.
"Hey, mom. I'll be-"
"Astraea Dione Iglesias"
I pause. Mom never says my full name unless I'm in trouble. I stare at the last empty seat as a middle-aged man sits down on it. I don't have the time to be disappointed. Mom says, in a deathly tone.
"Get home in five minutes"
I've never been so scared.
