A/N: I decided to post the rest of the chapters I have left saved in my draft because I did spend time working on them, and don't want them to go to waste. Like mentioned in the last chapter, I've come to realize that the era for this book is over, and I'll have to retire it. I again, just want to thank everyone for reading, commenting, voting, and showing love and to support for this book that I've had for so long. It will forever be a great memory<3.
I hate Studio Choom's "Artist of the Month"
Timestamp: January 25, 2022
I feel like a lot of people online (especially on Youtube; at least that I have personally seen and been watching) agree with this, so here we go haha.
I think I came to this conclusion quite quickly as all of the "Artist of the Month" performances are all similar to each other (at least in my opinion). Obviously, I know that all the idols chose different songs, and all have their own style of performance and presenting themselves to the public eye, but I can't help but feel like it is always the same concept over and over again with Studio Choom. I feel like every time I see a new performance is posted, it is similar to the one they just posted last month. All the performances are always meant to be "sexy", "edgy" and "out of the box" but I hope they realize that if they keep posting that same theme EVERY SINGLE MONTH OF THE YEAR... it gets boring quite quickly and that's why I find myself not liking Studio Choom.
I actually admit that I did used to like it because I thought it was a really cool idea to select an idol each month and give them their own individual video/stage as a means to promote themselves and the group they came from but again, the similar theme every month got tiring really quickly. I also do admit that I do still like some of the performances such as Juyeon's "You Should See Me in a Crown" (he was September's choice) and Yeji's "River" (March) however, I can't help but also admit that the other performances follow suit of being the same type of song and performance style (which again, is going for "sexy" and "edgy"). Now is there anything wrong with those concepts, no. Does it get repetitive when you have every artist of the month perform something of that nature however, yes. I really wish that Studio Choom would stop with those same types of performances as it has gotten quite old and boring but if they do happen to continue this year and switch it up, maybe I'll end up liking them again but only time will tell of course.
Please do let me know what you think of Studio Choom's "Artist of the Month" as I am super curious about what others think on the subject!
