This one is also kinda a very debatable topic, so please don't hate me
I don't think "visual" should be a position in Kpop groups
Hear me out on this one. I understand that a big thing in Korea is looks and it's a huge part of the Kpop industry. You have to have "the look" but in reality what is "the look". Is it having all idols look similar? Having them all look like clones of each other? What is it? I'm not gonna lie that yes, it is nice to be able to look at them visually and appreciate their looks, but I don't think it should be a 'position' in groups. I personally think that by having idols look a certain way is crazy because everyone is beautiful despite where their from or what they look like. Now on to why I don't think it should be a position. I honestly believe this because if you're declaring and naming someone the "visual" of the group I feel like it can be seen as rude and overwhelming for idols. I think it can be rude because like I stated above everyone is unique and beautiful in every way and in all sorts of ways, and that shouldn't be compared.
In addition, I think it's very overwhelming for idols. I believe this to be true because imagine if you were named the "visual" in the group. I feel as though if that were my title I would feel this huge amount of pressure to make sure I kept up with looks and had to look a certain way my whole life. People's faces and bodies change all the time. Imagine having to keep the same upheld, "pretty" face and body the whole time. It's pressuring and stressful. I would hate to be told "You have to look like this to be accepted into the Kpop world". I'm sorry but are you out of YOUR MIND! This is insane to me. You shouldn't be telling people how they should look or how to achieve the "best look" because what is the best look. There's no defined one because everyone has a perspective of what's beautiful and what's not to them, and by telling idols they're the "visual" of the group that would feel as though they had to keep up this "pretty" look. Especially for girls. I'm not saying guys don't have insecurities because trust me I know they do but by putting all these girls and guys, especially young ones now, into the Kpop world and exposing them to the public eye they'll feel more pressure to "be pretty". Guys also feel this way as well. They feel like they need perfect, smooth, clear, silky smooth skin to be "pretty" and "appealing" to the public eye. Let the people breathe ok. Everyone is gorgeous and talented so stop assigning the "visual" position to people because it's pointless, overwhelming, stressful, and unnecessary.
A/N: lol surprise I have another author's note for this one too. I completely forgot to state it in my last one so I'm gonna acknowledge it now. I just want to say thank u guys so much for 3k reads. Never ever did I think my book would be read by people let alone get this many reads. It feels so nice to have people read, vote, and comment on my stuff. I promise I see every comment and vote from everyone and I appreciate it. I love u guys so much❤️❤️. I want to say thank u to people who have taken the time to do those things and to the new friends I have met on here. It means such much to know I have support from people.
