Let's talk about SuperM cause they're a hot topic
Time Stamp: October 4,2019
(Thanks to the person who suggested I do this so you know what's new and what's old. You know who you are❤️)
SuperM is the hot topic ever since their debut on October 4 with the title track "Jopping" and I figured why not write this. I meant to post this when the mv released but as you can see that didn't happen. Sorry
So as far as this goes...I actually am IN LOVE with SuperM's debut
I'm gonna be real, at first I thought this was just a way for SM to take over the American Music genre with his new group and bring in the cash. I can't honestly confess right now if I still believe that or not but one thing is sure, I LOVE SuperM with all of my heart. I think "Jopping" was amazing! I loved the outfits and hair especially Taeyong's shirt in that choreography part where they're dancing on the open road with that desert looking scene. You probably know what part I'm talking about
Whoever gave TY that shirt needs a raise because I honestly love it and would add it to my personal closet. It just fit so well to be honest. Also the outfits remind me of those "Shut Up and Dance" outfits when 127 did a collab with Lay and Jason Derulo. No hate cause I love those outfits. Also Mark is driving ANOTHER car. Seriously what goes through SM's head sometimes. I really think he sits there and when the idea of a car being in the mv pops up he's like "Get Mark!"( I believe this to be true).
Ok, so now that we've discussed the amazing outfits and Mark's constant car scenes(😂) let's talk about the hair real quick. I honestly have no complaints. It was good, no one had one hair style that was bad. The more Kpop years develop the better debut hair and outfits we have. I'm more than convinced because it honestly is a fact at this point.
Let's discuss the MV because I want to cover everything about this debut. The MV was totally my style. I'm a huge fan of dark, sexy concepts for guy groups, so you can imagine I BREATHED for this. Also, the colosseum!! I literally screamed at that. These men are going global honestly. I'm convinced. When I first saw that I was S-O-L-D! I don't know I'm a huge fan of history and historical events, so I lived for the colosseum moment. Like yes colosseum, work(That sounds like something Jeffree Star would say. Oh well. I'm not sorry for it)! Also that stage scene! I know some people had mixed opinions on it I'm gonna be real I thought it was super cool (You can disagree with me, but I thought it was cool). We also love a good futuristic car and driving scene especially when Mark Lee is driving the car. That open desert looking scene with the open road, yeah that was a concept. It was so simple yet so beautiful and that scene also had that legendary TY shirt I was talking about, so you know how I feel. Oh and last but not least the HELICOPTER and TANK! I was praying no one would fall and/or get hurt (thankfully no one did obviously. I mean they're professionals who am I kidding) but anyway that was also a moment. I think it showed power and was like "We're here everyone" and honestly I'm here for that.
Finally before I end this opinion I wanna talk about the title track "Jopping" and the b-sides. You already have a good idea of what I think of "Jopping", so I'll just sum up the fact that I LOVE IT!! Let's move on to the b-sides. I can't honestly tell you how many times I've replayed this first mini album. I listen to it everyday if I'm being real (which I am). I think the songs got to show off the members well and was a good setup to let people know that SuperM isn't playing any games. They're here to take over and I'm not complaining. I love all of the b-sides but if I was to pick a favorite I'd say "Super Car". That song is my style. To be honest I first thought that "No Manners" was going to be like "Mad City" 's sibling. I expected some hard core rap stuff but actually "Super Car" is more like the sibling of "Mad City", and "No Manners" is the really sexy song instead. Anyway, I highly enjoy my rap songs and my more toned down songs, so I lived for this first mini.
All in all that's my opinion on SuperM. You can call me crazy because they've only just debuted, but I would put them in my top 10 Kpop groups. I seriously love them as a group and as individual members. I can't wait to see where they'll go and how they'll grow but I'll be supporting them all the way.
Let me know what you think of SuperM❤️
A/N: I know I've been inactive but I've been resting and preparing for my new book. I'm finally ready to publish "how my Kpop opinions have changed", so prepare for a new chapter or so tonight when the book is being released. Also, I wanna say thank you for patiently waiting and supporting and loving this book as much as I do. I didn't know this many people would care to read my stuff to be honest. Every read, vote, and comment means a lot. I was really nervous about posting this book because I doubted myself a lot but thanks to all of you you make it better and make it worth it. Thank you for the constant support and I promise to write more for this book and work hard. Also, also thank you for 5K reads!!! Never in a million years would I have ever thought that this could happen but it's thanks to all of you that this is a reality for me. I love each and every single one of you. You guys are amazing and worth it❤️❤️❤️
