I woke up in the dark, surrounded by silence. The curtains were half open, fluttering on the wind coming through the open window. I rubbed my eyes and noticed that the bed next to me was empty. I stood up tired. Carefully I walked into the hallway and heard a soft snore coming from Adam's room. I walked a little further to the nursery. The door was open and a light was on. A man sat in the large rocking chair. My husband. Luca lay with his head on his shoulder and his mouth parted open. I laughed at the attention and knelt in front of him. He had our little girl in his arms and she lay with her head against his chest. Carefully I lifted her from his arms and her eyes opened a little. I soothed her and rocked her up and down. She quickly dozed off again and I laid her in her cradle, next to her brother.

"Sleep tight, Sophia and Callum." I whispered. I turned back to Luca, who was still in the rocking chair. I stroked his cheek and he made a distant sound.

"Luca?" I whispered. I shook him gently. He woke up with a start.

"Where's-"

"Sophia is in her crib, with Callum." I said reassuringly. He calmed down a bit and looked around.

"I fell asleep again." He concluded himself. I laughed softly.

"Yes, that's right. You really have to be careful with that." He was aware of his guilt and nodded. He got up from the chair and picked me up. I suppressed a scream because everyone was still asleep, including the twins. He walked back to our own room and threw me on the bed. Then we crawled under the covers. He pulled me tight to his chest.

"I love you." he whispered as he pressed his lips to my forehead.

"I love you too."

"I vote for ten."

"Ten what?" I asked.

"Ten children." he said as seriously as possible. I looked at him shocked and I saw a smile appear on his face. "Okay, five then."

"Up to three, no more." I laughed. " Don't you know how much that hurts? A birth?"

"Yeah, my hand was almost pinched off." he said as he studied his hand.

"Ah, don't pretend." I laughed. "You really are a man, did you know that?" Luca tensed his arm muscles.

"Yes." he said as manly as possible. I crawled closer to his chest and felt my eyes slowly close. I have a husband, two beautiful children and a family that loves me.

Everything is fine as it is.

"That was very nice mom." Ze Hannah. I closed the diary and ran my hand over the cover. "Was grandma really that in love with grandpa?" I nodded.

"Very much in love." I said as I thought back to my mother.

"I want to be so in love too." Said my other daughter Sarah.

"Some day." I ran my hand through her hair.

"Fortunately, that will last a long time." Said a deep voice behind me.

"Uncle Callum!" Hannah and Sarah screamed at the same time. The girls tackled him in a hug.

"Yeah, I'm great, I know." he laughed.

"As arrogant as Dad." I laughed. He gave me a hug.

"Everything good?" He asked. I nodded softly.

"Mommy's Diary." He flipped through it quickly.

"Yes, because Grandma was in love with Grandpa. And you and Mom were still babies." Hannah said knowingly. Sarah climbed onto my lap.

"Are grandpa and grandma still together?" she asked. I pointed to the sky and Sarah followed my gaze.

"Yeah, see those two stars over there. That's Grandpa and Grandma. They're in the sky together now."

"And is everything all right there?"

"Everything is fine, just like grandma said."
