CAMILO'S POV ~

As I heard her voice, my head snapped into place

I saw her amongst the trees, a smile on her face, looking back at me

I felt tears of joys growing in my eyes I rushed across the river, battling the glow of the water to get to her.

As me feet hot the dry land, I ran faster than I ever have, scooping her up in my arms as swiftly as I could

Mirabel stood next to me, doing the same her glasses riding up the bridge of her nose as she hugged y/n

As we all pulled apart from our embrace, tears evident in everyone's eyes, I pulled y/n closer to me once more

'I-is it really you? Please tell me it's you' I spoke as my hands gripped her waist

Her hands gently fell to my cheeks, I flinched away before, quickly placing my hand on hers

'It's me...Cami' she whispered as she smiled back at me

Before anything else could happen, I picked her up twirling her around before kissing her, my hands on each side of her face

As we pulled away, we both heard a scoff come from beside us

We saw Mirabel standing with a smirk on her face, her arms crossed

Y/n and her began to laugh as they linked arms with eachother, making their way back to cross the river.

Before they could cross I took y/n under my arm, placing my Hand on her waist.

When we made our way back across the river laughing and giggling after we tried not to fall into the river, we were met by a surprise

Abuela.

She looked sound with a lost and shocked expression looking staaight past us at the river.

I took no precautions however. I gently placed y/n behind me, as Mirabel stood beside her

Abuela started to come towards us, her arms stretched out ready to comfort us

But I took a step back as she came closer, pushing
y/n further behind me

'Stay away from her' I said to my Abuela firmly as she looked behind me

'Ay...camilo...'

'No.' I spoke as a stern expression sat on my face

But the expression softened as two arms slithered around my waist

'Hey...' y/n said calmly behind me as I turned around to see her

'It's okay... besides I can protect myself' she whispered to me as she smiled

'I sure as hell know you can' I smiled back at her as she stood beside me Mirabel following

'I would like to show you all something' Abuela spoke

She walked up the river bank slightly, as me Mirabel's and y/n followed

She lead us to where some rocks sat as the start of the river, the water slowly flowing

'This river...is where we were...given our Miracle' my Abuela spoke, barely above a whisper

'Where Abuelo Pedro...' Mirabel spoke soon after, as my Abuela sat down on a nearby rock the rest of us following.
