'Mi amor?' I heard Camilo say from the other side of the door

I sighed as I opened the door and came face to face with....Camilo

'I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry mí Vida' he whispered

'What?...why are you sorry'

'Well...I let you take all the blame for Mirabel...and even worse I didn't sick up for either of you'

He paused and looked me in my eyes

'...I just sat by and let it happen and for that I'm am deeply sorry mí amor...could you forgive me.?' He said holding my Hands and brushing my knuckles softly

There was a complete silence as we into each others eyes

No one was searching for anything, no answers, no words, we just had comfort in each-other.

He smiles at me softly as I looked back at my feet in embarrassment.

'So...are you still mad' he said cautiously

I looked at him blankly. Still lost in my own mind

He sighed and looked back down at his feet.

He couldn't finish his sentence as a grabbed his face and kissed him on the nose.

I backed away from him and smiled, this time he was the one who couldn't speak

She quickly glitched into me,then back into him, me again and then back to him.

I giggled at him, while a blush rose on his face .

'So...I take that as a yes' he said smiling at me

'It's just that Abuela had said' those words re played in my mind as I looked back at him

'What do you mean by 'Abuela said' ?'

'Oh I don't....' He stopped talking as he saw the glare on my face

'RUB OFF?!' I whisper shouted anger rising in me

'She's not a disease or a virus that you can just hide away from! She can't help the fact that she didn't get a gift!!' I whispered at him harshly

'Look Cami- I think we should talk about this more in the morning okay?' I said while shutting the door

I sighed as a when back to my room...and then it hit me.

I sat back down in my bed and looked next to me... expecting to hear a comment about me and Camilo from Mirabel.

But funnily enough there was only silence.

And the window shutters creaking in the wind.

She must have left when she heard me talking about her Abuela.

Guilt overtook me. I was so caught up with Camilo that I didn't even think of Mirabel and what she was going through.

She must've snuck out the window to check in Abuela...or the candle.

As I exited the room I saw Mirabel on the roof next to Abuela's room.

I made my way up there and gently whispered to get her attention.

She looked at me upset.

She hugged her as she sighed...

'You won't believe this! Cmon we need to go now' she said tugging on my arm

We made it back to our room and told me all about Abuela knowing about the cracks... and the candle being in danger.

'I have to save the miracle!' She said as she got dressed
