16. The Kiss

Was this really happening?

Your heart was slamming in your chest as his warm breath fanned deliciously across your lips, making your eyes flutter closed.

You hadn't quite realised how badly you had wanted this until it was right in front of you. How your entire being was leaning into this boy, this destined protector.

Of course he was the one. Of course your Omega had chosen him.

It was like the world made sense now.

He was so different and special from the other Alphas... But more than that, he was gentle with you, and only you.

Not to mention handsome as hell.

No one else saw this side of him. It was new and exciting.

Your lips were only ever so slightly brushing each others, only a slight shift forward would give you both your first proper kiss...

"A SAILOR WENT TO SEEEEEEAAA, TO SEE WHAT HE COULD SEEEEEAAAAA!"

Both of you jumped out of your skin and twisted in your chairs at the loud and sudden singing that came through the kitchen, seeing an irritated Kaminari dragging in a very very drunk Kirishima, who was singing at the top of his lungs, causing you and Bakugo to wince, quickly moving away from each other.

Well... That's certainly a mood killer right there...

You glanced up at Katsuki who looked indifferent, watching in annoyance as his closest friends ruined his moment with you.

Well the moment was gone, what else could you do?

"Had too much to drink Kiri?" You sighed, standing up to help Kaminari guide him to a chair, choosing to be helpful over angry. It wasn't their intention to spoil anything and you knew you had no right to be anything less than kind.

"Keep him from falling, I'll get a plastic cup of water..."

You felt the way Bakugos eyes followed you as you walked across the kitchen, leaning over the side to reach up and grab a cup from the shelves, swallowing a little at the way your body arched up, forcing himself to look away and glare as he noticed Kaminaris eyes on you too.

"WHY DID HE GO TO SEA?" Kirishima slurred and you couldn't help but giggle as Kaminari groaned, not quite appreciating how adorable 'Drunk Kirishima' was.

But Bakugo smirked as Kirishimas nonsense seemed to break Kaminaris focus on you and he settled down a little bit to enjoy his friend embarrassing himself.

"For the hundreth time, I don't know dude. Just shhh while (y/n) gets you some water..."

His little red spiky head popped up at your name and he smiled widely as if he had reached some great epiphany, only looking more adorable as his big eyes locked on you.

"Oh! Oh, (y/n)! I have something super important to tell you!"

He did a sudden dramatic and suspicious scowl at Kaminari before leaning in your direction to stage whisper.

"But s'secret!"

Your had to bite your lip to keep from bursting with laughter as you nodded your head and came over to him with his water.

Bakugo almost growled out loud when Kiri grabbed your shoulder and cupped his hand around your ear.

You, however, rolled with the drunken and goofy behaviour and looked at Katsuki with a smile to let him know it was all okay, hoping he would indulge his best friend.
