Shoto held back the urge to scream as he finally got away from his father, pushing the words 'you should mark her. We can get a wedding planned very quickly.' out of his head with a disgusted shiver.

He was planning on keeping you as far away from Endeavour as possible in the future. He wanted to court you slowly.

To do things right.

He'd already begun by giving you your first counting gift in the form of that collar, and he wasn't in a rush to let you start wearing your old one any time soon...

But he wouldn't simply mark you and force you to marry him like his sick father did to his mother.

"You seem glum." The chirpy voice of Camie popped up, the blonde leaning towards Shoto with her hands behind her back.

As if things couldn't get worse for the hetrochomatic boy...

"I'm fine." He said, trying to ignore her as he walked away, but she followed after him, pushing.

"Is it because of your dad? He seems kinda strict but I saw him laughing." She muses, a finger to her lip as she looked up as if she was puzzling it out.

"So was it something he said-?"

"No."

Camie thought for a moment before looking around.

"Is it because your date was dancing with that red eyed guy? The loud one, I think..."

He stopped walking.

You were dancing with...

He turned to Camie, a frown on his face that made her tilt her head.

"Dancing?"

"Yeah! I saw them outside. Oh! That was him!" She points excitedly to the giant glass doors where a quiet looking Bakugo was coming back inside. Alone.

He couldn't just leave you alone for one night, could he? He couldn't just let you have a drama free night without upsetting you...

Shotos teeth grit.

"Thanks." He muttered before charging off, walking straight past Bakugo who seemed to tense as he did, but neither shared eye contact.

He'd talk to him after making sure you were alright.

Shoto stepped outside and looked around, hoping to find you... But of course...you weren't there.

He assumed Bakugo had upset you and started to wander the garden in search of you.

When he couldn't even find a trace of your scent, he felt his insides churn.

Something wasn't right.

He headed back inside, finding Bakugo sat down, watching Mina and Kirishima dancing like idiots while Kaminari and Sero were enjoying the food.

The blonde sipped away at a glass of champagne, seeming far away and Shoto held back a growl as he stormed over, arms crossed to prevent himself from attacking the blonde before giving him a chance to speak.

"Where's (y/n)?"

Bakugo looked up, taken by surprise at the low challenging growl in Todorokis words.

It took him a second to respond.

"I don't know. She got called back inside by Reynard. Thought she went back to you after that." He shrugged, but still, he felt something off. He lifted his head to look around the room, hoping to find you.

"Camie said you two were dancing."

"Camie?" Bakugos nose wrinkled, having no clue who the hell he was talking about.
