"Finally handed it in, my heart is racing." You exhaled, a hand over your chest as you met up with Todoroki for lunch, the two of you now waiting in line to pick up some food from the cafeteria.

You'd waited until Aizawa had excused the class for lunch to hand in your internship application with a shaky and nervous hand that Aizawa simply rolled his eyes at.

Easy for him to stay calm!

You had to get accepted, your sanity depended on it at this point...

The idea of acres of forest and no Alphas for miles sounded like paradise.

"I'm sure you'll get it. You're just what they would be looking for."
Shoto said as he walked a little closer, brushing his hand briefly with yours but not holding it as if by total accident to any onlookers.

It was nice for both of you that you could feed your touch starvation on each other with small touches and pats of encouragement.

If he was all you had left then you'd cling to him... Even if it meant using his childhood issues as an advantage... You didn't have anyone else.

You pushed away the bitter thought and grinned at his words of encouragement, nudging him with your elbow.

"I hope so... Have you figured out where you wanna go yet?"

He shook his head.

"I'm still waiting for the right agency."

Waiting for the right agency? He would run out of time...

You bit your tongue. He probably knew he didn't have much time left to decide. He didn't need you bugging him about it.

"YOU!"

A loud voice rang out and everyone spun around, looking for the disturbance in the middle of the crowded cafeteria.

Your eyes scanned around too and your entire body tensed as you saw Hatsume standing in a wide stance, her finger pointed at you with her other hand on her hip.

"Yeah! You! Wolf girl!"

Ah frig... Now everyone was looking at you too...

"Yeah, you! You stood me up! Where were you on Thursday-?!"

Dammit!

Her words were cut off abruptly as you dived for her and grabbed her by the wrist.

You rushed forward and snagged her, pulling her swiftly from the cafeteria, much to the shock of your onlookers and Shoto who blinked in confusion, wondering whether to follow you or let you deal with this on your own.

Your head was dizzy with how quickly you had reacted, but it was nice to know your reflexes were sharpening back up... Before your status smacked you in the face you rarely froze up. Maybe Shinso was right and that instinct was coming back?

"Eager! I like it!" Hatsume grinned, quickly taking over and grabbing your wrist now, leading you through the hall to your own surprise.

She sure recovered quickly...

"I have some new babies I've been dying to show you! I was so upset you stood me up, but I'll push that aside!" She turned her head to give you a hungry grin that made you tense.

"Just you wait until you see my brilliance at work!"

She drug you through the maze of halls into an area of the school you had rarely been to before stopping at a giant door and unlocking it with an overly dramatic key.

"Gotta keep my babies safe from thieves and prying eyes!" She winked and threw the door open with way more enthusiasm than necessary...

But as you stepped inside, you had to admit she had good reason...
