Shinso tried his best to muffle his laugher behind his hand while you gave him a deadpan look.

You were hunched over your table in the library and worried they'd kick you out if you got too loud, but it was not something Shinso seemed to worry about as he brought his laughter down a few notches to a small chuckle, wiping a tear from his eye with a small slap to the table.

"Damn, what I would have paid to see that!"

"Shhh..." You hushed him, trying your best not to laugh now too. You couldn't help it, he was literally infectious with everything he did.

Plus he did look so gosh darn adorable when he laughed like that... How could you stay grumpy?

"I hope someone recorded that, I can't imagine Bakugo kissing anyone ever, let alone that volt head."

"Yeah, they went really hardcore about it too... Guess they wanted to try make up for being assholes." You felt your cheeks heat up as flashes of their hungry eyes on you as they kissed invaded your mind.

You shook it back and smiled up at Shinso.

"Spoiler alert, it certainly didn't, but A+ for effort."

Shinso snickered again, closing one of the many open textbooks in front of him after jotting down one more note in his notebook.

"The 'effort' would have been to control themselves from the start..." He muttered, almost as if he didn't want you to hear it, but he did assume your Wolf ears would pick up on it and didn't care much either way.

He didn't like how much you were letting them off the hook for their behaviour simply because they were Alphas.

"Yeah. It's tough though, I do feel a bit sorry for them."

He scoffed and you heard someone 'shh!' you both from somewhere in the rows of bookcases.

You shared a cheeky grin before going back to your studies quitely.

Shinso had suggested the library as a place to meet as he was hoping to get ahead in schoolwork to take advantage of an entire month off for the internships after Christmas.

It seemed that he wanted to do exactly what you were hoping to do- get high enough grades on the written stuff now so that you could purely focus on that month away.

"Well that's dumb Alphas for ya. Don't feel sorry for them when they all go around and brag about their status. Makes me feel good to be a Beta."

As he grumbled he chewed the inside of his cheek, a lingering question dangling in his mind, making him open and close his mouth a few times as he tried to find the right words.

You weren't looking at him though, instead you were flicking through the chapters to find a good enough place to start your History Class cram, oblivious to the way he fidgeted.

In the end, he choose the 'ripping the Band Aid' route.

"So what happened with Reynard? You never text me about it in the end."

Your hands stilled.

For just a moment, you completely blanked out the fact he knew. The whole reason you had met and conversed with the purple fluffball in front of you was because of her.

You shouldn't feel so guarded about talking about it to him...

He wasn't an outsider to this.

So why was it so hard to open your mouth?

"She's... Seemingly harmless. I'll see how it goes." You said bluntly, but sighed and continued when he gave a suspicious raise of his brow, forcing yourself to continue.
