You closed the door behind you, locking it for good measure while you waited for Ochako.

The way they both looked at you when you walked in was more than enough warning that they weren't finished with you yet...

A small shiver of excitement went up your spine at the same time as a gut rolling sensation of disgust.

It was clear your Omega was smitten with Katsuki. And maybe he was falling for your Omega, but he didn't care for you. The you under the Omega. The one he had known for two entire years but never really ever spoke to or looked at.

Kaminari seemed the same out of nowhere, growing a crush when all you had done was change pheromones...

On the complete other hand was someone like Shinso. Kind, funny and you could actually talk to him. He wanted to know you.

It was way too early to know how you really felt about him, but currently the mere thought brought warmth to your cheeks.

A normal crush might be a nice little distraction for a while. You were in desperate need of more normal in your life...

Especially with this fox thing looming in the back of your mind.

A knock sounded at your door and you sniffed, not smelling Katsuki or Kaminari before opening it and was shocked to see the half and half quirk user standing there with a few books nestled under one arm.

Strange. Why couldn't you smell him?

He seemed to ignore your surprise, taking it in his stride as he explained himself.

"I heard you and Ochako may be studying today and writing applications for agencies? I'm sorry for eavesdropping but you were quite loud. I want to offer some help and join you both."

"Oh, Shoto, hey. Yeah you're welcome to join us, I guess?" You leaned back into your room a little more, opening the door as an invitation.

A small smile graced his face before he stepped inside and rested his books on a nearby desk.

"I'd suggest we use the common area... But two Alphas in particular seem to be making you uncomfortable." His face darkened a little.

He was damn observant... Or it was simply painfully obvious.

You decided to shrug as your answer and sit on the edge of the bed, deciding to move the conversation away from the blonde ass holes.

"You're free to use the desk space. I normally take the bed and Ochako likes the floor to spread out her notes."

You took a soft inhale and tilted your head subconsciously, trying to find his seemingly non existent scent.

Damn, he really didn't have a smell today. Was it your nose?

You tested the air with a deeper inhale and could smell the Alphas milling around downstairs. You could even smell Ochako making her way back up the stairs with snacks. But Shoto was nothing. Like he wasn't even there. The curiosity was burning through you, but you put it to the side as Ochako entered the room, shocked to see Shoto.

"Oh, should I come back?"

"No, Shotos going to join us. Is that cool with you?"

You saw her eyes dart between the two of you, a thought crossed her mind before she smiled and nodded in a warm and friendly manner.

"Of course."

"You want to go where?" Ochako almost dropped her pen as your finished reading out your application.

"I want to try out with the Wild Wild Pussycats. They specialise in mountain search and rescue and I got along just fine with Mandalay when we visited in our first year. The internships we get to do this year can take a month priority over our general studies so I can afford to spend my whole time with them unlike the last two years."

You'd spend last year with Thirteen in general city rescues, but a more wild environment where your sense of smell and hearing would be of best use was where you wanted to be.

A nice break away from everyone and everything in nature, helping people who get lost or get into danger.

A lot of the students associate the Pussycats agency with the League attack in the first year and it put off so many students from wanting to go back. But it was your best bet at getting suitable employment for your particular quirk. You weren't a fighter. You were a finder.

But Ochako seemed like she just couldn't find any reason for you to go.

Maybe she'd miss me?

You noticed Shoto pull the application draft towards him, getting a red pen and writing something on the page, using the edge of your bed as a table.

"You're using the same words and sentences, keep it short and to the point."

Heh, some actual help and support...

You repressed a smug grin while Ochako pouted.

"It's just so far away..."

"Ah, you'll be fine! It won't be until after the winter break anyway! You'll get to spend lots of time with me before then!" You grinned widely at her and she seemed to warm up a bit.

"What about you Shoto? Where are you gonna go? To your dads again?"

His head lifted after a second and he tilted it, seeming confused before the question sunk in.

"Oh. No." He went back to editing your application.

"What?" You and Ochako shared a look, wanting to know more about this extra coldness towards the Endeavour agency.

"I've learned everything I can from him. It's time I stretched my abilities and went to another agency. I haven't picked one yet." His monotone voice made you sigh in slight exasperation. He had a point, what use was there being annoyed by his dad when he had gotten everything he possibly could from him? But damn, he didn't even have another agency in mind before deciding this?

"Well, I haven't quite decided yet either." Ochako said softly, looking down at her unpersonalised application.

"I like to move to as many as I can for the same reason as Shoto- to learn all I can about my abilities outside of my quirk." She stands up and brushes down her skirt with a determined grin.

"I have time to do some more research and ask Aizawa for recommendations! But first I gotta use the restroom." She added sheepishly as she slipped out of your room, leaving you and the scentless Alpha alone and in horrible silence.

The last time you had been alone like this was the ice dome when he almost...

You shuddered.

No. That was because I had a heat wave. Nothing more. He's in full control now.

Wait- is that how he doesn't even have a scent? Can he control that?!

"(Y/n), you're gonna break your nose like that."

His voice snapped you from your inner whirlpool of thoughts and you blinked.

"Hrm?"

He gestured to your nose, almost poking it as his eyes softened.

"You're sniffing a lot. Do you have a cold?"

Ah damnit, were you being that obvious?

"Well no... I kinda..." You sighed. What was the point of dancing around it? Be bold!

"I can't smell you?" It came out as more of a question than a statement and a small smile lifted the very corners of Shotos lips as he reached up to tug his black turtle neck down a little, showing off a little red collar.

"I took some tricks out of your book."
