I woke up on the couch and Xavier was gone. That was weird, how's he going to leave without saying bye? But I didn't care , It wasn't that deep.
Lately, I haven't been liking how much time I've been away from my main house, even if it was just for a day or two. In our line of work, even a day can make a significant difference. Besides, I missed Priscilla's cooking, too. It dawned on me that I had forgotten to return David's calls; he had tried three times, which indicated something important. There was no way I would have called him while Xavier was with me though.
Medusa: What's up?
David: Where have you been??
Medusa: Easy there, I was at the penthouse.
David: Why were you at the penthouse? Were you with somebody?
Medusa: Seriously? Is this an interrogation?
David: Medusa, you were supposed to call that supplier Rashad connected us with. I don't know who you were with, but if it was a man, we've had this conversation before. Love gets in the way of business, remember? You're the one who always says love ruins everything.

I drove my Bentley to the warehouse and I was ready to make that phone call. I felt iffy about calling this so called supplier but we'd be profiting more, that's more money for me , for the mob and for everybody affiliated. Plus , David trusts Rashad and Rashads been making smart moves ever since our alliance so he better not fuck up now.
