To say that their friends were shocked when Samantha and Eddie suddenly started becoming close friends , would be an understatement.
There was a mixture of disbelief , a little bit of horror , curiosity and a good load of wariness thrown into the mix too.
No one could understand what had brought them together and why nothing seemed to tear them apart either .
They just weren't compatible to another's eye , Samantha was much too aggressive , much too brash and mean for someone like him . That's what the tabloids liked to think anyways.
While Eddie was often the quite one out of the two of them , only speaking when spoken to and much too uncomfortable or shy to cause a scene the way Samantha so easily would .
But it was curious the way that Eddie seemed to be able to calm down her hysteric fits of violence and cruel words with just one look , he always seemed to know when to be there and when not to be . MHe chose his moments perfectly and the carefulness soon became familiar and needed , Eddie slowly began to become her shoulder to lean on and Eddie slowly began to open up to her as well.
They may not seem like the most likely pair to come together on screen but when the curtains closed and the cameras light went down , there was no place they would rather be then with each other.
The first time that Samantha's bandmate and good friend duff had the chance to witness the strange ways that they seemed to affect each other was on a hot Friday night , they were all tired and more than buzzed from the show they had just performed at one of the largest summer festivals of the year .
