Eddie failed to hide his frown as riley entered the room with her arm wrapped tightly around another man , his heart dropping to his stomach .
the man she was with was tall , muscular and had messy black hair and eyeliner smudged under his blue eyes.
he looked nothing like eddie , and eddie looked nothing like him .
he had heard about matty , her boyfriend , here and there.
but it seemed whenever she was asked about him directly , riley did everything she could to avoid it.
she had never brought him along to any of her shows , never sang of love , yet here he was.
riley and her band had been touring with pearl jam for over a few months now , tonight being the last show of the tour .
it was only excepted that her boyfriend finally showed up .
both Eddie and riley had grown close over there time together , she was an amazing , sometimes crazy woman that he adored.
they always hung out somewhere together after each show and went back to there hotel room to listen to records and share a bottle of whatever they could find.
she was beautiful , through and through . with long curly hair and baby blue eyes , she was a real stunner .
eddie had never connected with anybody like he had with her , she owned his heart and soul
yet here she was acting as though she wasn't ripping his heart out of his chest as she cuddled up to someone that wasn't him .
he had somehow convinced himself that matty wasn't real , a ghost that followed her around silently .
a dark shadow that they couldn't chase.
yet he was here , in the flesh with his arms wrapped around the woman he was in love with .
his luck couldn't get any worse.
"so that's him." he mumbled quietly as he sat next to stone on the couch with a beer in there hands , the former looking at him sympathetically.
it was no secret between the band that the two had something going on .
"he looks like a douchebag." stone noted honestly as they both watched him pull riley back towards him harshly as she tried to walk away.
eddie frowned in agreement
" she never said anything about him." he muttered sadly averting his eyes form the couple.
