Eddie sighed quietly to himself as he leaned back into the couch , watching as lea sat down on the floor, the small toddler in her lap .
"you're so pretty angel ." she cooed stroking her nieces hair in awe
"yes you are." she mumbled as angel babbled at her happily.
Eddie couldn't stop his heart from clenching in his chest as he looked at them , with hearts in his eyes.
"lea." he called out to her shyly , his girlfriend of over a year looking over at him curiously eyeing his pink cheeks with a smile.
"yeah ?" she answered looking away to give angel her bottle , wiping away the drool from her chin in adoration .
"we've been together for over a year now." he stated quietly , fidgeting with his hands anxiously as he thought over what he was going to say .
it could either go down in his favour or go down really bad , the thought of her freaking out and leaving him made him want to throw up .
but he had been stewing over this for a while now , but seeing her with baby angel was enough to make him realise this is what he wanted.
he wanted what her sister had , a loving marriage and a baby . it seemed like a dream to him , one he wanted to have with lea.
he just hoped she felt the same way .
"we have." she replied with a small giggle standing on her knees as she held angels hands in the air , helping her stumble over to where Eddie was sitting.
her niece had taken a real fasciation to Eddie and his hair , not that she blamed her .
I mean who wouldn't ? he was a girl magnet with those curls.
eddie chuckled as angel reached out for him , quickly putting his hands under her armpits to pick her up , placing her down in his lap.
lea could only watch in awe at the sight of her boyfriend and angel , the girl tugging on his hair with giggles quickly leaving her mouth .
"so cute." she mumbled with a smile , feeling her heart warm in her chest from the sight.
quickly running over to the cabinet to pull out her polaroid camera , the moment was just too sweet not to keep.
eddie stroked angels hair away from her face eyeing the baby's blonde curls , wondering what there baby would look like.
would it have leas blonde hair? would it have his eyes? her nose? the possibilities were endless. and what about if it was a boy?
a perfect blend of the two of them , it would be a dream .
he looked up startled as a flash went of , seeing his girlfriend laugh as she pulled out the polaroid , waving it around in the air as she waited for it to develop.
she flashed him a cheeky smile as she realised he had caught her , sticking her tongue out at him childishly .
"aww." she breathed out in awe looking down at the picture of them , angels eyes glued to eddie in obvious fascination .
"i'm framing that one." she mumbled standing to her feet to grab her left over cola from the table , bringing the can up to her mouth .
eddie looked at her silently for a moment , admiring her long curly hair and pretty green eyes he had fell in love with .
she was all he wanted .
"I think we should have a baby." he blurted out to her loudly , his heart thudding in his chest .
lea choked on the drink , cola spilling down her shirt.
"eddie!" she exclaimed in shock quickly putting the can down as she wiped her mouth , looking over at her boyfriend startled.
did she just here him right? he wanted to have a baby with her?
he chuckled softly at her expression slowly putting angel down in her play pen , the girl quickly becoming engaged in her dolls.
slowly getting to his feet he walked over to lea , his cheeks tinted red but determined to follow through with what he started.
"what? I really do lea , there's no one else I would want a baby with . I love you." he told her quietly, pulling her into his chest .
lea could only gape up at him as his gently grabbed her arms and placed them around his neck .
"a baby?" she repeated in shock peering up at him with wide eyes , wondering if she was dreaming.
eddie chuckled wrapping his arm around her waist
"yes , a baby . with you." he confirmed to her shyly tucking his hair behind his ear.
"but- but-" she stammered not knowing what to say " we've only been together a little over a year!" she told him in disbelief.
he simply shrugged
"so ? I knew I was meant to be with you from the moment we met lea , If I didn't see a future with you I wouldn't be here." he told her firmly.
lea sighed feeling herself slowly begin to calm down , her cheeks flushing from his honest reply.
"I mean ." she hesitated feeling her heart race as her head swam with thoughts "are you sure?"
eddie laughed and nodded his head confidently , pressing his forehead against hers gently as he looked down at her.
"pretty fucking sure." he clarified to her with a smile
"so what do you think?" he then asked her , beginning to play with her hair from nervousness.
lea looked at him silently for a minute before a smile began tugging at her lips
"I mean , it doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world." she mumbled to him quietly , laughing as his expression lit up .
"really?!" he exclaimed happily looking at her with wide eyes , his cheeks flushing.
"yes really." she said with a giggle , squealing as he attacked her face with kisses before squeezing her close to his chest.
"so is that a yes?" he breathed out into her neck , his heart hammering in his chest .
lea nodded her hand stoking through his hand soothingly "yes eddie, we can try for a baby."
she clutched onto him tightly as he began to cry into her neck , his tears hitting her skin .
"thank you ." he murmured a sob breaking through his chest .
"I love you lea , I love you so much ." he repeated to her over and over again , squeezing his eyes shut wondering what he did to deserve such a life.
he was never going to take these moments for granted. he would be the best father he could be.
