slash let out a soft sigh as the sunlight shone through the curtains of there room , turning his head carefully on the pillow to see the golden light encase Cherrie perfectly as she laid next to him .
a genuine smile tugging at his lips as small breaths escaped her own , her brows furrowed slightly as she cuddled into his side .
and he could feel all those familiar feelings for her arise again , reminding him of why he had chased her for so long . it had been worth the chase after all.
getting to wake up next to Cherrie every morning for the rest of his life was all he could hope for , all he could dream of . he wanted this forever .
letting his fingertips trace gently down the tan skin of her shoulder , slowly working down her arm until he reached her small hand , encasing it in his own as he laced there fingers together .
squeezing her palm absentmindedly as he let his eyes wander over her relaxed and serene features .
she was just so beautiful but it was times like this that really made him count his blessings , wondering how on earth he got a woman like Cherrie to put up with his shit for so long .

hell , the amount of times she had bailed him out of jail was astronomical ! shaking her head at him with a sigh before dragging him back home and sobering him up , letting him crash on her couch when he had no where else to go .

having been so lost in his own thoughts he didn't notice that she had slowly woken up , her sleepy eyes looking back at him curiously as he traced her figure with his eyes .
laughing gently making him jump as he looked back up to her with wide eyes, like a guilty child who had just been caught doing something that they shouldn't have been .
"why were you staring at me you weirdo?" she mumbled through a yawn , pushing her messy hair away from her face and cuddling closer to him .
this time resting her head on his bare chest contently , feeling his heart thud deeply below her , soothing her .
he felt his cheeks flush at having been caught but still smirked nevertheless , letting his fingers trace down her bare spine making her shiver .
"it's called being romantic ." he told her casually , grinning as she leant her chin on his chest to peer up at him .
amusement coating her pretty features, scrunching her nose up slightly
"it's called being creepy baby but okay .." she teased , reaching her finger up to point at him slyly .
he only bit the tip of her finger playfully making her yelp , making them both laugh loudly as he grabbed her waist and rolled her underneath him .
resting his weight on his elbows either side of her as he shaked his head in bliss, smiling down at her so widely that his cheeks hurt .
Cherrie raised a quizzing eyebrow at his expression , wrapping her legs around his waist to bring him closer .
"what?" she whispered up to him , biting down on her lip as he continued to look at her with a incredulous look .
laughing breathlessly as he lowered his head down to hers , there lips brushing gently
"I just can't believe that you're mine , you're so fucking amazing Cherrie ." he told her seriously , smirking slightly as her cheeks coated pink .
rolling her eyes jokingly as she wrapped her arm around his shoulder and leaning up to press her lips against his briefly , hovering there for a moment as she pulled away .
"well believe it baby cause I love you , forever remember?" she reminded him simply , looking up at him with all the love and patience in the world .
slash could only kiss her again and again and again . his heart feeling full in his chest as he realised this was what he had been missing his whole life .
this love was real and unlike anything he had ever experienced before .
"I love you ." he repeated to her quietly , nestling his head into her neck carefully and allowing her to pull him closer, cuddling into her side like a child .
