I've been so scared you'll only break my heart,
So here are the tools you'll need for the part
First you'll need a hammer to break the outer shell
I'll grit my teeth and act like it doesn't hurt like hell
A few hard hits is all that it will take
Hear that?
The sound of crack, a heartbreak
I know you said that you would never do this,
But just in case, I drew you up some blueprints
If you're going to break my heart, like my mind says
You might as well start it knowing what you're doing,
Even though you say you don't want to, I know that you can,
So what's the harm in giving you a backup plan?
The second is a screwdriver for the metal part below
It's not like this hasn't happened to my heart before
My armor plating's so easy to slip past
That's why I get my heart broke so fast
It shouldn't take much longer,
I don't wanna waste your time
As you hollow out what once was mine
The third is the sound of your voice to destroy the core
The sound of you saying you don't love me anymore
My heart can be broken with such bitter ease
And I know you could do it if you ever pleased
You say you won't leave and I'll never be alone,
But I wanna be prepared if you decide to go
I'll pick up my own pieces
You do not need to see this
I'll pick up my own pieces
You do not need to see this
I'll pick up my own pieces
You do not need to see this
Make the mess, then leave quickly
I'm used to it, so don't feel guilty
I sputter and spark, a broken machine
Don't worry yourself to intervene
Everyone else has left, so why wouldn't you?
With that, my heart is gone and there's nothing to do
I lay there like a husk 'cause now I'm gone too
Not ready for a relationship, you said once
But you're already taken after a month

Songs I Wrote
PoetryHere are some songs I wrote. The ones that end in (Old Song) are ones I wrote when I was 14. They're not all that good, but I thought it'd be cool to have my old songs here alongside my new ones. I think it shows how much I've changed and improved...
