Chef? Why Not?

(Zayn's POV)

"So, in short, naging kayo kasi kailangan lang?" Pagtatanong ko kay Cezane. Nandito sya ngayon sa condo ko. Kinuwento nya sakin ang tungkol sa kanila ng boyfriend nya. "Tapos naging totoo on the process?"

"Uh-huh," sabi nya habang tumatango tango. "Can you believe that? Parang love story nyo lang ng couz ko. Though, the only difference is that your relationship started because of a bet. Yung akin, dahil kinailangan ko."

"To think na kaya ako bumalik ay dahil kay madame," sabi ko.

"Speaking of that witch, how is she?"

"Witch? Sa pagkakatanda ko, lola mo yun."

"Lola? Oh come on, Zayn. Sa pagkakatanda ko, ayaw nya samin ng mama ko at ng papa ko."

"She's regretting things. Sa loob ng sampung taon, alam ko yun. Madalas ko syang kamustahin, at madalas din syang malungkot. She misses her family so much. You, Scarlet, your family, she misses you all. Nagsisisi na sya sa mga ginawa nya."

"Is she even regretting of arranging the marriage of Scarlet and Lucas?"

"Ni hilaw? Oo naman. Nagkausap na sila ng magulang ni Lucas. Nagback out si madame sa arrangement."

"How about the memory of Scarlet?"

Natigilan ako sa tanong ni Cezane. Paano nga kaya kung naaalala na ni Scarlet ang lahat?

"You do realize that if my cousin remembers everything from the past, she'll probably know that you didn't left her once, but twice."

"I... I know."

I heard her sigh.

"Do you want to work as a chef, Zayn?"

"I took culinary arts in ICC, Cezane. Since, ipinaubaya ko na yung business namin sa kapatid ko. I wouldn't take that course if I don't want to be a chef."

"Great. Here," sabi nya at may binigay saking flier. Tiningnan ko iyon. At the left corner side of the paper, I saw a very familiar logo of a Company. I looked at Cezane with a confuse look. "Scarlet is establishing a new restaurant. Unfortunately, one chef backed out after knowing that Scarlet is the owner."

I smiled. Natakot siguro. Ganun pa din siguro si Scarlet. Mataray pa din.
