Techniques

"Ilocos? I thought the next competition will be in Baguio?" Lucas asked me. He's in my house, paying me a visit. I don't know why he's visiting me, but might as well feed him with a sensible information.

"You didn't know about the the twin brothers that got to an accident last night?" I asked him. I clearly told my secretary to give update.. oh, I didn't.

"What? How are they?"

"They're fine. But unfortunately, their arms are casted."

"Both of them?" He asked with disbelief.

I nodded.

"Such coincidence,  huh?"

"Yeah. I guess?"

I sat down on my chair and read the reports that my secretary sent me. Kahit sa bahay, nagtatrabaho pa din ako. Jeez. What a fun life, right?

"So.." Lucas said that made me looked at him. "What are your plans?"

"Plans for what?"

"The theme of the competition will be a romantic dinner, remember?"

"So?"

"They'll be cooking for us, remember? We'll be portraying as the couples for the competition."

Oh. Yeah. I forgot about that.

I looked back at the papers on my table and ignored Lucas. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. We'll just portray.

I heard him sigh.

"Have you forgotten that the chefs will be by our side as they serve their dish?"

Hindi ko na lang pinansin si Lucas. Pinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pagrereview sa reports.

"Zayn will see us as he serve his dish. Aren't you even bothered by that?"

That's when I stopped what I'm doing and sudden realization hit me.

"He'll surely be hurt."

Hurt him?

Hindi ba dapat matuwa ako? He hurt me too. Hindi lang naman niya ako sinaktan. Iniwan niya ako. Iniwan at pinagpalit. And to top it all, sa pinsan ko pa.
